Something just weird happened on my iMac M3, 24GB Ram, 2TB... So I was just rebooting the iMac after I was using Low Power Mode for a day or two. The iMac would boot up, I put in my passcode and then it starts...pauses then reboots back to the login screen. I signed in again and it continued to reboot to that screen again. After the 3rd time, I just clicked the Power symbol upper right hand corner and selected shut down from there. After quite awhile it finally shut down. I press the power button on the back to boot up, signed in and it booted up normally. I wanted to see if this is a problem now. So I just select Restart from the Apple logo as before and let it do its countdown and the iMac shut down, booted up, signed in and proceeded to boot up normally. That was very weird.

I don't have an iMac but I am wondering why a computer that is plugged in the wall 100% of the time even need a low power mode as that is a feature normally associated with a battery powered device.

I sometimes use low power mode when processing video. Some can take 24 hours and hearing the fan full blast gets annoying.

^^^^Yep, it does all sorts of really bad things. Last night, I walked into my garage and had four flat tires

Most certainly Apple's fault

iMessages already brittle now routinely beachballs. Great work Apple SDEs! You ought all be fired.
I know life feels overwhelming and you are suffering.

But iMessages works okay on my macOS 26.5.

Maybe worth checking.

There are good chances that Apple is spying on your communication in iMessages.

Bad enough they are spying on us but this could cause your spinning beach ball issue.

I disabled all the Siri and spy **** as much as possible in the System Settings for everything.

Careful when posting screenshots.

Rounded corners will trigger a reaction from detesters.

And no medicine yet invented for a quick cure.

You say that but I'm thinking of launching a Kickstarter project to produce some stickers with less rounded corners that Tahoe users can stick on their monitors to cover the corners of all their windows to make them look less rounded. Admittedly they'll have to reposition the stickers every time they move or resize a window but given the strength of some people's reaction I think some people might be OK with that inconvenience if it gets them less rounded corners.

Are you in?

I would go the well trodden path:

1. t-shirts with "I hate my life and I hate rounded corners"

2. Car stickers: "I hate my life, I hate electric cars and I hate rounded corners"
