Alright guys, just finished cleaning my desk and unboxing everything.

Here are even more pics!

I have to say, this display is really nice. When they said it feels like the image sits on top of the screen, they weren't joking.

Anyway, off to play with my new toy! Best of luck to those of you still waiting/processing/preparing for shipment -- I know it ain't easy to wait, but the payoff will be sweet.

My tracking info. still shows two Shangahi events (international shipment release and in transit) after the computer arrived at and departed Anchorage. But it's all good, since it got to Memphis late last night and left there early this morning. Memphis is usually the last destination before FedEx shipments get to me (it's less than 250 road miles away), so I'm hoping that it might even come a day early. Or maybe the local FedEx people want to play with the iMac for a day before they deliver it.

Right on. I actually looked and it went from Anchorage to Indianapolis to Boulder, CO, the city that I live in last night. Mine might arrive a day early as well.

The machines that shipped are all made in China models. I wonder if those of us that haven't changed yet randomly got chosen to be put on the list for US assembly.

I've been wondering about this also. It's just amazing to me that Apple moved some assembly to the US and the first we hear about it is from the "Assembled In America" on the bottom of some new models. I figured there would be big fanfare surrounding something like that.
If there are some that are being built here, at least the shipping SHOULD be fast!

Still amazed to see people who ordered many many hours after me and many others get their product before us.

That will be the last time I will stay up or try to be first as that has absolutely zero baring on when you get it.

Extremely disappointed.

Same here, it is difficult to not sound like a whiner but it is hard to take when I put a lot of time & effort into ordering as soon as the process went live, getting all my ducks in a row etc. but it was all a huge waste of my time.

figured it out

While I did just receive mine and am not going to lie I am very happy it came already I 100% agree with you. I ordered mine at 8AM EST HOURS after pre-orders had gone live and I received mine before others who ordered the exact same setup at 3AM EST. I was fully expecting and was ok with maybe getting mine a few days after those who ordered first but never would have thought mine would be one of the first to arrive. I have this question though for anyone with prior knowledge to this. This is my first ever Apple product that I have ordered on release day. For those who have done this many times.....Is this the first time you have been able to pre-order an Apple product where there was no specific release date at the time of order? I was wondering because maybe its a different system where first orders aren't for some reason fulfilled in order. Like I said this is my first time doing this so I was just curious if maybe this situation is different.

Just spoke with UPS. My tracking online shows delivery for Dec 17, but the lady at UPS said her system is showing delivery for Dec 14. Holla!

Prepare to ship!

I checked a few minutes ago and it is preparing to ship :)

I'm on iPad 3 so I don't know how to copy/paste from the Apple app.

My order is:

iMac 27" with i7/680mx/1TFusion/3years

I live in Quebec, Canada. Ordered 30th around 8am.

ETA is dec 27 - jan 3 by Standard shipping. I do believe that I'll receive it next week tho.

I'm in Canada, and my iMac just arrived in Louisville via UPS. Louisville is usually the last stop before Toronto, yet my delivery date is still for Monday. Anyone else in the same boat?

Yeah, I'm in a similar situation but not in Canada (in Oregon). I think its strange and hoping that they move up the date.

Mine is on the truck for delivery, so I'll definitely get it a day early.

This will now be the longest day of work I have ever had!!

Dang yours shipped yesterday and was delivered today?! Did you have overnight shipping? I read a post a while back that said overnight shipping from China was not possible due to time in customs and that overnight shipping would mean once it reached the US. That is one fast delivery.

My order changed from processing to "prepped for shipment" last night.. I placed my order 6am CST, So I dont feel too bad..

It was supposed to be tomorrow. It got to my local fedex 3 mins before it went out again for delivery. I am guessing it just made it. Yeah, I had overnight. When everyone else was calling to bump delivery for free last week or so I called and asked, the CS rep said no problem and I was bumped to overnight.
