So it's been a good 20 minutes since I last checked, and yep - still processing.

THIS WOULD NEVER HAVE HAPPENED UNDER STEVE JOBS!

:p
Sit tight my preparing for shipment happened yesterday about 11-12am PST so there's hope couple more hours perhaps

Ordered early, 11:57pm on 11/29. Still Processing. I'm not sure what the hold up is. I've called Apple reps asking if there is an issue but I did not have any luck there.

My order says 2-3 Business Days on shipping. I saw someone linked an image with 2 Business Days? Did it change to that when it went to Preparing to Ship or Shipping? I called Apple and they told me my shipping was already the best it could be.

The first time I called in (after it was officially pointed out that all new orders would get free 2-3 day shipping) the rep changed me to 2 business day. When I called in this afternoon the rep lowered my final price and shipping changed to 2-3 business days. I asked the rep and he said it was the same thing. Apparently some of their terminals record it as 2 business day and others as 2-3 business day, but it's all 2-3 business day. "Standard" shipping is 5-7 business days.

Did he just remove extra shipping charges or actually give you a discount? How much? Did he offer or did you request it?

Yes, mine is on it's way to Melbourne, Australia, - patience is the idea - those who are really beyond sleeping, eating, pooping, etc., while waiting for their 27 inches of goodness to arrive, should phone their local Chinese Consulate, organize a translator, find the phone number for Foxxcon (or who ever is building them), spend 4 to 5 hours on the phone, on your iPhone of course, at some measly charge of only $5 per minute (if your international rates are that good) and hunt down the worker building, packing, and sending it off to Shanghai Airport and really give them a good earful because your Mac isn't there yet.

I'm actually hoping it doesn't arrive on Monday (17 December local time) when it's meant to arrive, I have a Christmas lunch to go to ... and these guys really like their wine ;) Happy Holidays to everyone!

So I'm sitting here, minding my own business, when, suddenly, I get a notification in Mountain Lion suggesting an update to an Apple order. I about leaped out of bed with joys of exclamation when, much to my chagrin, I realized my wife had just ordered photo books for the grandparents for christmas, and that email was in reference to that order.

Needless to say, I was pretty disappointed!

And I feel like calling them up won't do anything this so messed all I want is an explanation of why people who order later got theirs first that's all I want to know how's that possible

first call - they upgraded my shipping for free
second call - they lowered my price. I didn't request it, he just offered. He did ask me not to disclose how much though.
but if you can do the math…

The usual 8%, just the usual corporate discount anybody gets by just asking

actually i already had the edu discount on there. he lowered it more.

edit:
actually, it appears you're right. oh well, it was still cheaper than I was originally paying

we're both right I think.
edu discount seems slightly lower than the usual 8% corporate discount.
Not sure how much the corporate discount is on this item though..
