27" Delivery time thread.

I feel your pain brother. The thing my wife kept reminding me was that it still hadn't reached their quoted delivery estimate yet, so getting it any earlier would just be extra. That helped. Kinda. A little.

But the happy jig that happened when it went to preparing for shipment… that was good. :D I'm sure you and WilliamG will be doing the same shortly.

The worst thing about this all is that my post history is literally going to look like this:

"Where's my iMac?!"

"OMG no iMac"

"Damnit I want an iMac!!"

"Still processing!"

"..... Still processing!"

"GAAAAAH!!!!! *drinks more*"

"12:03 AM!!!! 12:03!!!"

"..... processing?! WTF!"


Pretty sad, but c'est la vie, en ce moment.

and just think, in 7-10 months well get to go through all this again for the iphone 5s launch!
 
Mine's been Preparing for Shipment for almost 24 hours. I received a free Apple TV when I called, without asking for it, the rep just offered it.

And now I'm all jealous of those who received a lower price, and multiple gifts from Apple.

This is serious character development time.

You got free stuff even though yours was preparing to be shipped out? wow lol

I got a free Magic Mouse in the first rounds when Apple was feeling jolly giving them away, sold it and bought memory with the cash. :)

To be fair, the Magic Mouse is only worth being given away free. Absolutely horrible mouse.

In other news, WilliamG's iMac is still processing. Imagine..

Hey, it was sold via eBay starting at a penny they paid what they wanted to :p

And that is awful at least scan it so you know it's in route, I've been sitting at preparing for shipment for about 24hours so its not all green on this side:(:mad:

When everyone else was calling to bump delivery for free last week or so I called and asked, the CS rep said no problem and I was bumped to overnight.

I wish I knew how to copy and paste like that I would show you how UPS does this which is complete crap! Your travel detail looks like how it should with gaining a day by flying to the US. UPS is somehow losing days. Hate UPS always have.

Usually when I get shipments from Apple coming from China, they go to Anchorage --> Oakland --> to LA which usually takes a day. I'm kinda dumbfounded on this one though because delivery date is still scheduled for the 17th. Hope it didn't take a detour to a different sorting facility. I'm hoping for a surprise early delivery for the 14th myself. (Looks like some of the FedEx people are getting theirs a day early so us UPS folks can hope!) :cool:

Now we are sitting in Anchorage for a couple days. First we sat in Shanghai for two days, then Anchorage whats next? Mine says Louisville, KY. We were suppose to gain a day as well because we are virtually 12-13 hours behind China if memory serves me correct. At any rate, suppose I will just sit back and wait for the 17th. At least its shipped I suppose there are those who ordered within a half hour like us and still in processing? Well I guess they say they ordered at that time. There has to be a reason for still being in processing, whether its lack of funds going through or what have you.

I called Apple to complain about these travel delays. The CSR asked for my order number and tracking and looked it up and saw what I was talking about and offered to give me a new mini. I was like thats not necessary as it seemed a bit much. She insisted so I have a new mini on the way as well.



**come on for real people! your getting apple tv's for free? I can see the superdrive because you could say im a moron and didn't know it was without a drive but an apply tv? thats hard to believe.

Now I have to think very carefully about my life as I woke up in the middle of the night to check it...

The UPS website is just late to update. Also still shows Anchorage for me with a 12/17 delivery date, but received a UPS mychoice notification about delivery this friday between 1:15 and 5:15...

My UPS shows departing Shanghai on the 12th at 5:12AM, then departing Anchorage on the 11th at 9:10pm.

Right now, it is 4:26pm on the 13th in Shanghai and 11:26pm on the 12th in Anchorage. It is a day earlier there and the flights make the day back up on the UPS tracking screen.
 
I'm about ready to bet that my iMac will be the absolute last to get out of processing (of the ordered-at-midnight-PST-crew).

Anyone want to take that bet? :D

I take back all the evil things I said about the Magic mouse (even if it is a steaming turd of a pointing device).

No, no. I didn't say that. I LOVE the Magic mouse (it sucks!). No! I LOVE IT! (like I love leprosy).

I can't do it... I can't lie. Apple, hold up my iMac order all you want. I STILL SAY YOUR MAGIC MOUSE STINKS! SO NYA! No amount of bribery or order expedite...ing.... will make me change my mind!

Pffffffft.

I can relate except im in prepared for shipment and everytime my email goes off cant help but grab my iPhone and check that very millisecond :D

I'm in the same boat as yourself, "Preparing for shipment" status for 24hrs... How long it takes to pack a computer in a box and ship it??
 
Why did I wake up at 4:00 and go to my computer to check my order status? This is getting sad...

Even worse, though, is that I'm still prepping for shipment ~24hrs later :(
 
Here in Hong Kong and my order just shipped from Shanghai. No estimated arrival date whatsoever though :(

Don't worry. Be happy! Mine is still processing and estimate delivery time is 4-10th of January and I'm sure that yours will be much faster...
