27" Delivery time thread.

So the UPS shipments originally scanned 12/10/2012 will arrive December 17th

And it seems the UPS shipments scanned in China on 12/13/2012 will also arrive December 17th.

Seems like UPS is just hoarding all shipments this weekend for super Saturday

Make no sense how one package shipped 3 days earlier will arrive the same time as packages shipped on 12/13/2012

Now that a lot of the people who ordered early are receiving their iMacs, it might be time for some of us who ordered late to start comparing notes.

I tried to order at 3:30 am PST on 11/30. At that time it was still listed as a 2-3 week ship time. However, I had trouble with my Barclay card that I couldn't get straightened out until about 8:00 pm PST on 11/30. By that time, ship times had slipped to 3-4 weeks. My delivery range is quoted as Dec. 31 - Jan. 7. Doh!

Still processing:

8GB RAM
1TB Fusion
680MX
 
It's looking more and more like my 12/8-1/4 window will hold true and I won't see this til after Christmas:( Doesn't seem like I'll ever leave 'Processing'

I won't be using UPS in the future anymore, where avoidable.

ANCHORAGE, AK

jkautosports beat me to it! I was thinking the plane went from Shanghai to Memphis. I guess it goes to AK first. I wonder if it is just a refueling stop or they sort any of the cargo there.

So next will be to our local FedEx hubs through out tonight and tomorrow...then the delivery Monday.

After 52 hours in Louisville, KY, I now see a new scan at UPS. I'm scheduled for Monday 17th delivery.

Can't complain though as Apple estimated delivery Dec 24-31. I'm super pleased. ;)

Told you guys it was going to AK first!

It's going to refuel and then complete its journey to Memphis. During the wait, some packages may switch planes. If you have a feeling yours is going to Memphis, and my status doesn't change with yours, I'm 99% positive it's catching a flight to Newark about 3.5hrs from now :D

I certainly hope it's going to Memphis, as I live 45 minutes away!

Looks like sometime mine will head out west so FedEx works through the weekend its just they dont deliver on those days.

This shows us that they really were picking our orders out of a hat. It makes no sense why they would build/ship our packages together... It would have made more sense to put yours on FDX90... Which goes directly to Memphis (and get there a few hours sooner). In the end, I guess it makes no difference, though. Either way it would get to you the following morning.

Mine is in same batch and I just can't wait...

Since my order went in so late after business hours on 11/30 (8:00pm PST) I am effectively in the 12/1 club as well. My estimated delivery range is Dec. 31 - Jan. 7. What range were you given?
 
So, my order is now "preparing for shipment" and I just checked my credit card and it looks like apple put a hold on it. So, how much time does it take to prepare for shipment? When will it likely go out? Thanks! :p

I was thinking about this too. The FedEx hub in NJ is only a 20min drive. If this was an option I'd certainly drive out there Saturday and pick it up so I don't have to wait til Monday morning!
