27" iMac delivery thread (Canada)

Please post as many pics as you guys can when you receive it. I will do the same!

I ordered on November 30th @ 6:02am. Credit charge is on hold and shipment is still being processed. My specs are as followed:

3.4GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7
32GB 1600MHz DDR3 SDRAM-4X8GB
3TB Fusion Drive
NVIDIAGeFrc GTX 680MX 2G GDDR5
MAGIC MOUSE+MAGIC TRACKPAD-AM

I called apple the week I ordered and got upgraded to expedited shipping. And after hearing everyone getting freebies, I decided to call and see what I can get. 50 bucks off the iMac (on top of the student discount) and a free super drive which is preparing to ship.
 
Ordered Nov 30 at 12:08am the most basic, standard, no configuration 27" iMac.

Estimated delivery of Dec 27 to Jan 3 (Vancouver, BC). But called Apple a few days ago and had that changed to Expedited Dec 21-31.

Ordered mine 7:40 AM Mountain Time Nov 30. Status changes in the last couple of hours to Preparing for Shipment.

I'm in PEI, ordered my BTO 27" on Nov. 30th around 7:00pm eastern, still processing. I called apple last week and they gave me expedited shipping, now expected delivery on Dec. 31st - Jan. 3rd.

I dont think Apple would give freebies to everyone. Did something went wrong with your order and Apple compensated that by giving you a free super drive?

Ordered nov. 30th.

Preparing to ship. Got the message today.

Configuration: i7/680/1tfd

Got no change by calling Apple no free stuff either. No option to receive it faster.

Nothing wrong with my order. First time I called and said I wanted to make sure I get it before Christmas. The woman gave me expedited shipping for free. The next time I called and asked for a super drive. The rep said she couldn't give me that but she took 50 off and gave me a discount on my next purchase. I called again and asked the next rep about a lack of cd drive. He said he believes they don't come with it and that apple removed them on this new model (I played stupid like I didn't know ) and he said he would throw one in for free.

It all depends on the rep you speak too.

Good news my order switched to preparing to ship. Yay!
 
Finally shipped this morning! Scheduled to arrive via ups standard shipping on the 19th (wednesday) which is also my last day of school before break, so lots of time to play with my shiny new toy!
 
Mine has been stuck like this since Wednesday morning. When I called the rep, she said it was on its way to Kentucky on Wednesday and should be here by Friday, even though it shows delivery for Monday the 17th online.

Ordered at 830am on Nov 30th .. custom 27" config maxed out. Still showing as "processing". Location is Mississauga, On.

Called Apple and was told I could up my delivery to "priority" for $35 but they weren't sure it would help; they said they are doing everything they can to get these out fast. I tried to talk them into upgrading for free, but they wouldn't offer it. Might try again if I don't see a change in status soon. :confused:
 
I believe everyone who ordered on 30-Nov would be getting their iMacs this week. I ordered mine on 10-DEC, and it says Processing; plus the shipping is "January". I have called Apple numerous times and requested for more information on specifics about the date of shipping and all they say is "January".

I live in Toronto.
 
Yesterday i call apple for upgrading shipping. She offer me the expedited for free, but said that the date didn't change, she just said that when the imac will go out i will have it maybe one or two days more fast.

After i start to talk about addign a superdrive in my order... I said if will delay my shipping time and she said me no, as it will be ship via another place, NEVER she offer me for free... I said that i will start to check others option and she said ok and no more... Any free things for me....
 
Still processing... I placed my order within 45 seconds of them being available on the store. I'm in NL.

Hmm thats strange. I think most of the people who ordered on the 30th have their status either as "preparing to ship" or "Shipped".

Yea, seems that way. Might have to call them and see if something is holding it up for some reason. I don't see why else it would still be processing.

I think yours should change pretty soon. What is the shipping estimate for you?

I ordered mine on 10th. Still a long way to go - the only thing it says for me is January.

Avail. 2-3 weeks, Dec. 24th - Jan. 2 via expedited.
