iPod touch 2g Glass separating- Dust EVERYWHERE

Okay so on my 2g the glass has been raising along the top left corner.
There is a rediculous amount of dust under the screen.
So should I repair myself or attempt a call to apple?

It's a 2nd Gen iPhone. No longer supported by AppleCare. Also, that dust is pretty much lint from your dryer.

Apple still sells 2G iPod touches (refurb) which are eligible for Applecare.

The ones being sold. Old ones; no. Which is why I suggest checking before cracking up.

Oh, I know what I'm doing.
I replaced my brother's front glass after it shattered a year ago
