I'm about to put an optibay in my 2010 17" MacBook pro.

I plan to use the drive for instrument / sample libraries for Logic and for video for FCP.

Can anyone reccomed a fast and quiet regular 2.5" non SSD drive that would be suitable. I want to put a 750gb or 1TB drive in.

Thanks for your advice

Western Digital Scorpio Blacks are great drives, don't kill your battery, and run relatively quiet at 7200 RPM's. I love mine.

Hi all - thanks for all your advice - I think I'll get a 750 WD Black drive for now then.

cheers Craig
