2TB WD in 24" 2.8 Intel imac?

Hi All,

In April 2008, I bought a 24" Imac (2.8GHZ INTEL CORE 2 EXTREME) with a 320gb HDD. I now desperatley need to replace the 320GB with something bigger.

I have been looking at buying a Western Digital Caviar Black

Can anybody give me a definitive answer of whether this will work. I have read many threads and some say it will and others say that it will not.

iMacs use 3.5" SATA drives so yes, it will work.

did you change drives and did it work. I tried to replace my 250 gig with a 2 tb drive and it would not boot? any help would be great
