So take it or leave it if u wanna flame me then whatever. I have a friend whos dad is VERY high up in AT&T and he told me that there is about a 98 percent chance mms is coming with the 3.1 update. With that being said anyobe have any guesses or know wen 3.1 will hit?
 
No one knows, if anyone, your friend's dad who is that high up in AT&T would be the one most likely to know. It's in beta, so I'd say within a month.

What does the 3.1 have to do with MMS? MMS was available with the 3.0 update, just not to the U.S.
 
i laugh at all you Americans :p us Canadians have MMS muahaha

anyways soon enough AT&T will learn from Rogers and give you guys MMS.

if AT&T is going live with MMS on 3.1 then it is up to apple to release 3.1 sure AT&T could go earlier but maybe they want to hold out till 3.1 thus leaving it up to apple to release 3.1
 
The whole Late Summer thing has me thinking we're not seeing any MMS until mid to late August.. if it doesn't get delayed beyond that.. who really knows, who even cares anymore? I sure don't.. that's life..
 
Well if your dad friend is so high up

tell him to give us MMS now! ;) opps he's not that high up! :rolleyes: so in the end you wait kist like us! :eek: so we wait for 3.1 and will see what happens then!
 
Hi everyone, first post here although I have been observing the forums for a while now.

I think that apple will roll out the 3.1 update sooner rather than later as I seem to recall reading an article last week about a potentially major bug in the 3.0 software that allowed the iPhone to be crashed and dropped from the network and possibly hcked by merely sending an sms.

I don't think apple will want this to be a threat for too long so my prediction is that we will see it soon.

That being said i'm on 02 UK and have MMS already so not all that bothered :p

Maybe you guys can learn even from our crappiest carrier (MetroPCS) a simple concept like... unlimited data?

For once I'm not jealous of service providers. The fact that they complain about every little thing about AT&T makes it that much funnier that they deserve this. I guess they have yet to see what us Canadian's have to go through with cell phone bills (system access fees and other costs).
 
The 3.1 software includes an update for AT&T's carrier file. I think I heard that it goes from 4.0 to either 4.1 or 4.2

In this release, the MMS icon in messages will be enabled along with the ability to send the messages.

actualy there is a promotion out that gives us like 3 or 6 gigs of data but i have no need for that much data so im fine with even 500 mb

but atleast we have mms right? all those extra fees pay for the mms feature i just know it
