Yes, the $30 plan is per iPhone, so if you have 3 iPhones, that'll be $90/month.

I'd verify all of this with at&t, instead of asking here.

$60 for 550 minutes (First line)
$30 for the data for first line
    $9.99 for second line
    $30 data for second line
    $9.99 for third line
    $30 data for third line.

    Plus taxes.

So that's about $195 after taxes and such.

EDIT: Forgot the texts, that's another $15. So about $210 after taxes.

I am flabbergasted by the prices for the plans on the iphones. I am even more flabbergasted by how many people can afford this. $200 a month is alot!

I think I will stick to the ipod touch for now :<

There's no $9.99 for the second line. A family plan assumes 2 lines - it's $9.99 for each line past two. (Proof)

    So $200 after taxes.

I agree. Pricing is keeping it out of this business users hands at the moment. I had to dump my iPhones and get Pre's for now as Sprint is $100 + per month less with the exact same plan.

3.0 was a nice update, but significant plan reductions would have been better.

I guess it depends on your situation.
For me, the price is well worth it. Having the mobile internet has been incredibly helpful--especially since I get lost on a seemingly regular basis. Because free wifi in Dallas isn't prevalent, I can't just fire up the wifi to access the internet.
Also, I ditched my landline years ago (2003/2004).

    hmm

I pay about $70 a month 450 minutes (With Roll over everybody forgets about at&t rover minutes) unlimited Data 250 text which is plenty for me.I had Sprint I hated them because of there customer service. Sorry when I call support I want somebody that speaks good English. oh and no fan discounts here.

I have 3000 minutes, three Pre's and one flip phone and my bill is 150+tax. Way better for business users. AT&T fails in the plan pricing department.

I miss my iPhones and will come back when AT&T gets realistic about pricing.

All I can say is AT&T and iPhone is not a cheap solution in any way; you'll be looking to spend a lot of money…

Currently I'm spending about $140 :)mad:) after my 22% FAN discount.

And it's just a piece of the pie if you're living on your own and/or have a family to support.

A lot of us also have another $130+ monthly for cable and home broadband. Add $50+ for a landline (especially if you're older and remember being caught without it).

Easily close to $5,000 a year just for communications. Add even more for those with larger families.

It's insane, I tell ya. Before cell phones, cable and broadband, we all used a $15 a month landline (and avoided long distance), and TV rabbit ears.

It is insane, but people also have this idea that they NEED a lot of things that they really don't. I'll concede that having non-dial up internet and a cell phone of some sort are all-but "necessary" in modern America, but past that, people could be getting by with a lot less than they are - we just don't want to.

I couldn't believe that AT&T doesn't offer discounts on multiple iPhone data plans.

I was considering getting an iPhone for my wife, but sheesh... $60 a month for data? I pay less than that for a 30Mbps DSL connection that I'll pull dozens of GB over in a month.

I'll probably do a gig or less on my iPhone in a month...

I will agree to the main portion of your post. I wiould also like to say IF AT&T allowed full teathering support at the current price point and eliminated txt fees, they might shut some of the complaints down.

However, AT&T will continue this greedy path until the consumer squeels. I am a hugw iPhone fan and supporter. Unless more of us take the stand against AT&T, high rates will stay.
