30 day return policy?

att told me your 30 days starts from the day you received it. got mine on the 23rd so I have to july 23rd

And I was also told by AT&T that I had 30 days from the date I initiated the return to send it back for a refund.

So technically, a person could wait almost 30 days to initiate a return, and then wait almost another 30 days before actually sending it back.

I will be returning mine, however will also want to revert to my old contract and my old contract expiration date & ETF.

I'd also like to keep the sim card.

I imagine I'd need to follow-up with ATT?

I got mine from Apple.com. Apple will revert back to your old contract once they receive your iphone. You will have to return everything even the new Micro SIM with your iphone return. Apple did ask for everything be return when I was on the phone with them. Don't even try switching the SIM card with another since your SIM ID is written all over the iphone box. Switching will further confuse the refund.

I'm back on my 3GS. I basically call ATT and told them I'm returning my Iphone4 and would like to switch my number to another SIM card. Done in 10 minutes.

I have had to exhange it twice now thru apple store.

Who do I return my current phone with? Att since I bought it there or apple since they gave me the one I'm using?

You may be screwed if you exchanged it via the Genius Bar

You paid ATT so you return it to ATT. You may run into issues with them because the serial numbers won't match, i.e., what you bought and what you have are now different.

There was a thread here about a person not able to return his phone because it was exchanged with a refurb and bestbuy (where he bought it) wouldn't do a return.

Well this phone isn't a refurb. And you better believe they'll take if back if I want to exhange. If not I'll return all 6 I have out of principle alone.

No way in hell I'd be "stuck" with it since I had to exchange it due to faulty hardware.

We shall see.

Yeah I read that thread. They'd be returning mine one way or another if I was that gentleman.

My return will all depend on white ip4 release date.

I'll let ya know how it goes.

I would like to know this, also. My receipt has a return date that is 14 days from when I bought the phone., which is tomorrow. Has it been extended to 30 days, or is that just for online purchases and AT&T purchases.
