My little contribution benchmark on a Macbook pro core i5 with the GPU overclocked at this frequency : 700/1560/1000 stability confirm and temperature quite good
I can have max Memory Clock 948 and not 1000 as you  EDIT: oh I have to click "Unlock max" 1st ... isn't it dangerous ?

Btw, in which order are your values ?

Gpu Clock: 700
Shader Clock : 1560
Memory Clock: 1000
?

EDIT again :) : I did the 3d mark but I'm getting only 5970 with those values :(

Click on : unlock max button in Nvidia inspector ;)

EDIT :

Every hardware is different in my case it is stable, I can play Mass Effect 2 during 2 hours or more without crash, glitches...

My GPU never goes above 77°C ;)

Yep the order is correct ;)

EDIT 2:

Your card won't support those frequencies ;) it explains the lower score. When the graphic card can't handle a frequency she underclocks her self by security ;)

but we have the same card ...

Well not exactly the same. Same name of course. But it is a fact that some card can be boost much higher than others because the "gravure" process is better or something like that ;) I talk about it on the notebookreview forum about this and I had a chance to get a better overclockable card with amazing results ;)!

It's just you. Check the MBP gaming thread. I gained over 1.3k with my OC in 3dM06.

Anyways, I will try to make this as easy as possible since i keep getting comments for it:

1) DL any driver from Laptopvideo2go. I am currently using these:
197.16

2) DL the custom INF from that forum as well

3) PLEASE follow this GREAT guide Here on how to replace the INF and install the drivers.
NOTE: AFTER YOU REMOVE YOUR OLD NVIDIA DRIVERS, USE A PROGRAM LIKE DRIVER SWEEPER IN SAFEMODE TO CLEAN THE REMNANTS OF THE DRIVER

4) Next, install the latest Nvidia tools here

5.Now you should be good to go!

Hey Wonky, Any idea which driver would be a good download for a Win7 32 bit? The 197.16 seems to be for 64. Any help would be great! Thx

ok. I think I found good settings that were also tested by HardMac

GPU 500 -> 640 Mhz
Memory 790 -> 920 Mhz
Shaders 1100 -> 1350 Mhz
With those values. I'm getting 7894 3DMarks ;)

w00t i just read through that comment thinking i was in the 320m thread and was all like :O

compareing it to my pc with 8800gt getting 12393 (deafault clock) it did make me recheck the topic :p

I had 7800 3Dmarks with the "normal" 330M GT settings :

GPU @ 575 Mhz
mem 900 MHz
Shaders 1265 MHz

With this config I can play Modern Warfare 2 and Mass Effect 2 in High quality with AA in 1440x900, wow, who said MBP are no gaming laptops ? ;)

Hum,

Screenshot with Nvidia frequency and 3d Mark 2006 score and resolution :) ?

@Tex : Nice score try some tweaks further since I can get 9000 points at the same res ;)

Thinkg is though that after about an hour of Bad Company 2, the screen was blinking during some seconds. Is that dangerous for the GPU ? The temp was only around 80 ºC.

To overclock in windows:

Download the Nvidia 197.16 drivers here (these are for 64bit Windows 7 - youll need to find the appropriate other drivers):
http://www.nvidia.com/object/notebook_winvista_win7_x64_197.16_whql.html

Download the modded .inf file to allow you to install these drivers (Right Click and Save As directly from here):
http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/infs/195series/19716_win7x64/nvac.inf

Download WinRar (again, this is the 64bit version): http://www.rarlabs.com/rar/winrar-x64-393.exe

Install WinRar.

Right click on your downloaded Nvidia 197.16 drivers and select "Extract Here".

Open the extracted folder.

Find the "nvac.inf" file within the folder (NOTE: You will have to do the following to see the file extension. Hold 'alt' (option) key and select "Tools -> Folder Options". Then select "View" in the tabs and unselect the "Hide extensions for known filetypes" check box.

Delete the nvac.inf file.

Put the nvac.inf file you downloaded above into the extracted folder. Just put it where the old one was.

Run the "setup.exe" file in the extracted folder and continue the process to the end.

Download Nvidia System Tools and install the file: http://www.nvidia.com/object/nvidia_system_tools_6.06.html

Install the entirety of that file.

Right click on desktop -> Nvidia Control Panel. Find the Performance tab, accept the Eula, Choose the 330M graphics chip. click custom clocks, and go to town.

Note: The overclock WILL FAIL if you do not set the 'Processor Clock" a MINIMUM of 2x the core clock. This is due to architecture issues.

I did exactly what you said but when I extract the drives it doesnt make one nice folder it just extracts every file to my desktop. So i made my own file and put everything in there and deleted the original nvac file and replaced it with the one that you linked. I then ran setup.exe and it says that the nvidia program could not find any compatible drivers. Any advice?

EDIT: Ok I just used a completely different driver (197.85) and it worked like a charm. I followed Panda's guide mostly and it installed the drivers fine and i used nvidia inspector to OC them to factory settings for now.

With just the factory settings of the 330m gt. I feel like my cpu should get a higher score though...its the newest intel processor out and 3dmark thinks its old lol

Bad Company 2 has its good days and bad days on my MBP. Sometimes it freezes 5 minutes in and sometimes I can play 2-3 hours on it just fine. I just did a full reformat of Windows 7 64bit and I'm installing some new drivers so I'll see what happens.

Every time I uninstall the drivers and then boot to safe mode to Driver Sweep all remnants, windows auto installs the video driver again.

How do I keep that from happening?

I wouldn't even bother doing that. I just installed the new drivers right over the old ones and edited the INF file and it worked fine.

Agreed. I just installed over my old ones and it was fine.

I would kill for a way to clock the part back up to its rated speed (575MHz, as opposed to the 500 Apple downclocked it to) under OS X.

I have zero interest in bootcamp. I just want the part to actually function according to its specs.

if you software overclock it in bootcamp, it won't carry over in osx

I use GPU-Z and HWMonitor

HWmonitor can show you all the sensors in your PC, including CPU temperature, GPU temperature, fan speed, etc.

GPU-Z will give you more specific GPU information, including temperature, GPU processor load, VRAM usage, etc.

3d Mark keeps crashing with those values on my i7. Btw which resolution did you use for your Furmark test on the screenshot ?
