This sounds like an interesting app. Do you happen to have any promo codes? I'd gladly leave an informative review on the app store after trying it out.

DP-Prodigy,
First let me say that I am really impressed with your willingness to improve 360 and take suggestions from the user community.
As mentioned, I am looking forward to your next update. There is one thing that I have noticed with 360 as compared to other browsers such as iCab, Atomic, Perfect Web Browser, and Mercury - speed. I am finding that recent updates of the aforementioned browsers has dramatically increased the rendering and scrolling refresh speed of those apps. I find that using 360 now is definitely behind the curve in terms of rendering and scrolling speed. The problem of scrolling refresh is profound in some of the full websites (Useragent = desktop). I find that 360 has trouble refreshing while scrolling. Loading the same websites in some of the other browsers I mentioned, the same problem is not as pronounced. I am not sure if you are currently working to improve the speed of 360, but I thought I would bring this to your attention.
I look forward to hearing from you on this issue. Keep up the great work!
Is it possible to make the loading progress a bar at the bottom of the screen instead of in the middle of the screen or maybe between the arcs?
Sweet app! I just bought it after seeing this thread earlier. Somehow I missed that Apple is now allowing other mobile web browsers in the App Store. I just read all the posts on this browser inside of it and am posting this one from it too.
It didn't take but 5 minutes for me to move Safari out of my iPhone 3GS dock and into a folder, then moving 360 into the dock as my primary browser.
Like the others have mentioned, I'm looking forward to a feature to import bookmarks from Safari into 360.
Nice job!
Looks nice! Hmmm I switched from Atomic to iCab mainly because of it letting you download any file into DropBox, is this planned?
I like the fact it even lets me UPLOAD files as if I'm on the desktop.
Your browser looks quite interesting now though...
So when you say it converts flash videos from Flash to MP4, is that the same sort of thing as what Skyfire does? I love the accessibility of Skyfire, but your GUI is SO pretty. Plus you have tabbed browsing, which is nice. If this is a Skyfire, play in your browser, flash converter, im in.
DP-Prodigy,
Thank you for your efforts for the latest release. I do find that the performance has been improved overall. I am very disappointed in the Firefox sync. It seems that the bookmark sync is not integrated with the default favorites menu, so what good is the bookmark sync? In order to access those favorites, I have to now go to the settings menu then go to the dashboard. Why didn't you guys bring the firefox bookmarks into the 360 Favorites menu?
Looking forward to your response.
Thanks for the reply. That was not clear on how to do that. That being said, as a user, I have to be very honest by saying I think you guys need to re-design your whole favorites function. If you need to see what browsers do this really well, then take a look at Safari and iCab Mobile. As I have mentioned before, I have hundreds of favorites and I need to be able to import, move, and manage better than what 360 offers.
For example, I am unable to reorganize the position of favorites once they are imported into the favorites section from Firefox. When I bring in a folder from the firefox import, the favorites in that folder are brought in in some random order. I cannot easily order the favorites within a folder or root.
@ SandboxGeneral : Starting from version 2.0, the themes are bundled and are stored separately to provide speed, performance and to reduce the size of the App as well. Your already paid for themes are still there. Just head to themes and initiate the transaction again [ if they are locked ], iTunes will inform you that your credit card will be charged but once you click ok, it will immediately tell you that you have already purchased the theme and it will be unlocked free of cost.
If you already have unlocked the themes, just goto the themes section and apply your desired theme, 360 will automatically handle everything from there on for you. You must be connected to internet to download the theme bundle for the first time.
With Best Regards,
DP-Prodigy
Thanks for the update, I picked up the app. The browser is SO pretty. I currently have Atomic, Skyfire, 360, and Safari, so my brower needs are pretty set. I think I can delete Atomic now that I have yours for my Tabbed browsing needs. Obviously Skyfire has the best flash support, and Safari has that comfortability factor of being the most well known, but your app definitely wins the award for best GUI. Well done!Hi mike,
Thanks for your appreciation. Yes and No for the Skyfire thing. Not only does 360 Browser converts from Flash to MP4, it also gives its users the ability to rewind, fast forward and deliver the best video quality. However, having said that, the Flash support of 360 Web Browser is limited to few sites like youtube, meta cafe, vimeo among some more so keep that in mind as well.
Cheers,

Alright. I am only seeing 6 themes now, 3 free and 3 paid. The one I purchased I do not see. I can't recall the name of it but it was a red one. The ones I see are 'Carbon,' 'Blue Edge,' Jaded,' 'Bling,' 'Blush,' and 'Historic Opus.' Am I doing something wrong?
Hi,
First I want to say. I love the full screen. You were smart enough to put in the option to hide the address bar also. Not even the JB Safari Fullscreen app will do that. 360 Orb is really a beautiful browser. Great Job.

Thanks
We are working on auto-detectable APIs to help you download the file besides long tap and manual download option. As the auto-detect option also was causing some memory issues with the file downloads. We decided to work on it [ which is complete now1. The download option seems to be flawed. You shouldn't have to long press on a file and then initiate a download. 360 Orb should detect every downloadable file format and download automatically after clicking on it. I tried to go to that liketelevision.com sample page and download a sample:
http://tesla.liketelevision.com/liketelevision/vip/pmpg3-x2156ba7.php?theme=guide
360 Orb failed on its very first download with a message "frame load interrupted". Its obviously trying to open this file. It's not detecting that this a downloadable file. I would have expected better than this. There are dozens (it seems) download managers that will download these files and just about any file without a hitch and some are free. These download managers have built in customizable file types, so you can add file types if its not already there. Mpg should have been there. The download option should always be available for every file type that can be downloaded.
I tried downloading manually and I was able to painfully download the file. I was not able to delete the file from either the download manager or the file manager. This seems like quite an misstep.] and post it in 2.1 update. Rest assured, you will get a auto detect download with version 2.1 onwards. [ not to be confused with version 2.0.1 which might come in a day or two ].
As far as deleting, renaming, moving a file is considered. That action can be performed by going to File Manager. just touch the related plus icon of the file manager and drag the finger to delete icon [ cross icon ] and release it to delete a file or a folder. you can rename the file also from the same.
For moving files to different folders, Long Tap on the specific file row to reveal move option.
2. When I clicked on the mpg file in the download manager of course I got the same error. 360 Orb is not looking for other media players on iphone to launch to play these type of files. This was also very overlooked. The free download managers already have this option.
As this was a time critical update, we didn't have enough time to get this option included. Expect this to be there in the upcoming 2.1 update.
The Options also have a hint feature which can be turned On / Off from settings -> 360 Arcs -> Arcs Hint. It is turned Off by default but can be turned on to display the selected options on the sliding status bar which will be activated / deactivated on opening / closing of the 360 Arcs.3. The 360 Arc when you put it in tap mode does not function optimally. You need to make it so when you open the Arc you can move your finger around the wheel and see the different options without clicking them. Then when you pick your finger up off the Arc the last option that you moved it on should be highlighted. Then when you you are ready to choose that option you click on it. Otherwise, your current implementation causes a person to have to memorize the options.
We are working on multi - touch gestures along with another amazing feature and might be able to bring it to you by 2.1 update of the browser4. Needs to have option for back and forward arrow web page navigation functionality through left and right screen swipe.
5. Update: I can't even get a youtube video to come up on youtube. When you go to the mobile site and click on the a video, you can see the progress bar on the the top moving. Nothing happens. When you go to the desktop site, it works like all of the other browsers besides skyfire and does not work. I am going to have to look over the documentation. Whatever the case, this is not very user friendly, and the average person will say, what? Youtube doesn't work?
This is all I can think of for now.
AC
YouTube usually works for us but sometimes they fail to pick us up as a browser which is kinda their fault. We have written to them about it. If they don't oblige then we will fix it by updating our work around code.
Thanks for your valuable feedback, it really helps us in improving the 360 Experience.
Cheers,
