Well, here we are. It's October again on the East Coast as of 8 or so minutes ago.

AL
East: Red Sox (96-66)
Central: Indians (96-66)
West: Angels (94-68)
Wild Card: Yankees (94-68)
NL
East: Phillies (89-73)
Central: Cubs (85-77)
West: D'Backs (90-72)
Wild Card: Padres or Rockies (both 89-73)

Go Mets! :p

I honestly think, despite being an Indians fan, that the Indians just don't have what it takes to win the World Series this year. Sure, they might somehow find a way past the Yankees but I doubt they'll get past the Angels or Red Sox.

Even if they do make it to the World Series they may be in for more than they bargained for, against whichever NL team makes it that far.

Oh come on, anyone can beat the national league, anyone but the Mets.:p

Indians are going to get swept by the Yankees. They did in the regular season.

The same way the favored Yankees went to the World Series the last three years? As Verducci pointed out in SI recently, none of the regular-season stats seem to predict who will win the World Series anymore.

The odds would seem to be against the Padres because they'll need Peavy tonight just to make the playoffs, so he might only get one start in the NLDS. But who knows? The Cardinals crawled into the playoffs last year and somehow got it together. As usual we'll see some surprising playoff heroes and some goats.

Since I no longer have a horse in the race, I think it would be really cool if the Cubs and Indians played in the World Series. Only one tortured fan base can be healed! :D

Well since 1903, you're about 60% correct.

I've been waiting all season for an epiphany moment. I think I've found it. Let's go Cubbies and Cleveland! :D

Sox going with Beckett-Dice K-Schilling...

Caught some of the FAN this morning..WOW! Sounded like Met's fans were lining the bridges ten deep....

caught it as well...listened on the internet, and these guys are just something else. they want glavine gone, saying he didn't want to be a met, said the pitching is too old, and that something has to change now. randolph, reyes, lastings, and a couple of others are taking the main heat today.

one of the local hosts down here thinks it's wfan new york (it kinda is with all the new yorkers living here, this place screams new york), and he was going on the same thing with the ranting about the mets. he also called glavine "a loser brave" and referred to the braves as losers for 14 divisions and one world series. at least we win our divisions with big leads in september, unlike you.

it just makes me happy that they aren't going anywhere...expect golfing. and i'm hearing rumors that beltran could be traded.

and my mlb national tv schedule on my sig has been updated to reflect the playoff schedules. webcal://www.icalx.com/public/furcalchick/2007%20MLB%20National%20TV%20Schedule.ics

A team blows a 7 game lead with 17 days to go,the problems started well before yesterday..Reyes not running out that ball is a small part of the collapse. Players tuning out their manager, infighting,no fire under their ass,no team leader etc...

TBS was always bad so its no surprise. I hear the Yankees Cleveland series gets the #1 announce team, oh what fun that will be to hear the Braves droids.

Meanwhile this game is going to the 13th. It is getting boring listening to Orsillo, at least he's not laughing at Remy's bad jokes.

Something had to give sometime, lets see if the Rockies can come back.

rado is going to win with a walk off 3 run homer.

and damn these anouncers almost put me to sleep in the 11th. where is joe buck when you need him?
