Tulowitzki just doubled in Matsui. 7-8 no outs. If the Rockies pull this out, they deserve all they get. Now tied 8-8 on Holiday's triple! Rockies are in!

is there some rule that says playoff baseball must have the worse coverage possible? tbs is trying to imitate fox in that aspect. grade: F-

padres don't deserve the playoffs, not after that pathetic showing the past few days. three chances to get into the playoffs and they blow them all, the sorry sack of losers. oh well, but congrats to the rockies.

Most exciting baseball game I've seen in a while.

The only problem was Dinger, who was distracting. The fat lady by the yellow line was also annoying.

I decided to change my signature and avatar to purple. :p

yeah he was def out.

oh well

He's not out if Barrett can't hold onto the ball. I'm not saying he tagged the plate (although he may have, there was dirt in the way). But Barrett DEFINITELY did NOT tag him.

Either way, this was a game for the ages. I wonder if the Padres will have Someone-****ing-someone like the Sox do. (**** you Bucky and Aaron!)

In theory the play never ended, plate never touched ball dropped no tag.

barrett DID TAG HIM. after he got by with not touching the plate, barrett went back, picked up the ball....AND TAGGED HIM.

The one game playoff was technically still the regular season, as the W-L column for the Pads and Rockies add up to 163. Just a little something I thought I'd point out. ;)

First of all the catcher did not have control of the ball. Second he was never tagged before the ump ruled safe.

Ya, but he can't be safe if he never touched the plate! What I'm saying is, when the ump called it he wasn't safe or out. Notice how the ump hesitates, he wasn't 100% sure he was safe.

But the ump made the call so it is a moot point.
