10-8 in the season series is hardly having a number. The bottom line is that you're just bitter and you're now eating your words when way back in the spring you said the Sox would collapse, the Yankees would come back and win the division and the championship. But it didn't happen and now you're just bitter.

And I'm loving every minute of it. All of this crap you're saying is pretty ****in hilarious to me. And you know why? The Red Sox are the 2007 AL East Champions and the 2007 World Series Champions. Whatever you think doesn't matter. That trophy that was carried down Yawkey Way back in to Fenway around 5pm this afternoon is what matters.

And you can keep living in the past as long as you want with those 26 world championships way back in the day, but nobody really cares about the past. We live in the present. And in this present century, the only stat that matters is that the Red Sox have 2 World Series rings and the Yankees have 0.
And as a Red Sox fan you said the same things about the Yankees, It is a gamble that you make and you never back down from that because you believe in your team. If you said otherwise you would be lying.

I have this debate a lot with Red Sox fans that If you ever give the other guy praise early in the season that you are folding and admitting that you are weak. As a fan you can't do that. You have to go in believing that you are better and hope that it sticks. If Midway I said you know what the Yankees suck. What would you say, you are giving up on your team then you would grill me for not being a fan. It is the price you pay for living and sleeping the game. The trash talking won't stop and I don't think either side would have it any other way. If a few brakes went the other way you would be saying that the Yankees were better and I would be chewing you out for saying that they suck. This year the Red Sox won the battle but the war will continue next season and we will do this all over again.

For the record this millennium it is Yankees 1 Red Sox 2.

That's true, but you don't have to be so damn bitter about it. You don't have to try to discredit their wins. You could congratulate them. The whole point of the rivalry is that it's supposed to be fun. It makes the game more enjoyable.

For the record this millennium it is Yankees 1 Red Sox 2.

Actually, like swiftaw said, this millennium and century started on January 1st, 2001. So therefore it's Red Sox 2, Yankees 0.

I'm watching the rolling rally on tv... looks ****ing insane.

All the fans were screaming "RE SIGN LOWELL" whenever Theo's boat was going by, "MVP" when Lowell went by, etc. Tek was even holding a sign that said "RE SIGN LOWELL".

Paps was going nuts on the dropkicks truck, doing the riverdance with Timlin and Oki.

It's pretty cool to see the Red Sox dancing on stage with the Dropkick Murphys. Ten years ago when the Dropkicks were one of my favorite bands, I could never have invisioned a scenario where these two would ever share a stage.

ps. Now I feel old.
