that 38 looks soooo good man. thanks, cause im about 150mm as well, that just helped me choose the one im getting.

I like the 42mm. I'm biased cause I thought I would really like the 38mm but found it was too small for my liking. So now, I really like the 42mm

They both look equally good on you. I would say go with the 42mm though. It looks just fine and doesn't look ridiculous.

Mhhh im still not sure.
Very hard do decide.
I have many people now who said i should go with the bigger 42mm because of my hands and the overall look.
As the 38mm looks really tiny in real i think 42 would be the better choice.

On the other Hand i have at least 40% of people who think the 38mm would be the better fit :(

The 38mm looks way more proportionate. This is coming from someone who can't stand large watches, so keep that in mind :) Ordered a 38mm Space Black Stainless Steel Link Bracelet for me (187cm tall, 175mm wrist circumference, rather small hands)

It's your purchase - get the one you like the best! With very few exceptions, there is no right or wrong answer to which size watch someone should get: If you like big watches then a 42mm will be fine on pretty much any wrist and if you like small watches then a 38mm will be fine on pretty much any wrist.

Some people will say a 42mm looks ridiculous on anyone and some people will say a 38mm looks ridiculous on anyone so just ignore everyone and decide for yourself which you think looks best and works best for you :)

Yep I really agree with this and that's why I try not to post pictures on here because the same people usually say the same thing you got the big watch people and the small watch people which is why Apple was smart with their decision.

I think the only thing you can do is figure out which ones you like. I feel the paper cutouts did a great job mocking these up just don't use pictures to judge look in the mirror and that was really close to what I saw in the store. If you have someone take your picture in store or with cutouts have them take it from a few feet away or again use the mirror to do this because the up close pictures tend to distort things. I also think band choice can make a difference if you are in the middle. Leather loop slims down the watch if you have a smaller wrist and Milanese and classic buckle can add some size with the lugs. so if you really want the 42 and have slim wrists that leather loop can help out IMO.

The 42mm looks perfect on your wrist and so does the 38mm but I would choose the 42mm.

Think they both look ok but I prefer the look of the 38 on you but its all about what your comfy in at the end of the day bloody hard to chose though right ?
My wrist size is 175 and I have ordered the 38 then panicked when all the reports on the forum started coming through after the try ons about how small the watches looked in real life. Went for my own try on yesterday and thought they both looked fine on me and but personally I prefer a smaller watch so happy with whats coming (on hopefully the 24th)but was left wishing they had done a 40 one lol
Hoping the software works as well as the hardware looks as they both looked and felt great.

For the love of Pete. There is no correlation between watch size and wrist size. It's not like a pair of shoes or a reading prescription, it's a jewelry/fashion accessory. It's like picking earrings based on lobe size.

OP, how wide is your wrist? If you hold a credit card over it, does your wrist disappear or about the same?

The Credit card covers my wrist complete. Its a big bigger too.
Its 50mm wide on the smallest point.

Today i was again in the store and took a nice photo to compare both sizes with my actual Pebble Steel which size i think is perfect for me.

I'm rockin a 170mm wrist with 55mm width and opted for the 38mm. I preferred the smaller size for sports applications

Took some pictures also. I got a 150mm wrist as well.

I'm leaning more on 38 because it looks more like a watch and less like a smart watch.

38 mm if you care about looking good, 42 if you're a geek and don't mind looking like it.

Also, even if conventional watches come in large sizes (a fad on the wane btw), those don't look like large empty black rectangles 90% of the time.

this may sound offense to some people, but I actually find a lot of truths with it.

again, 38 without question. I think there are two types of people. Those who want it to look like a watch and those that want it to look like a smartwatch. I prefer the former.

So i dont have any Problem with the smartwatch look.
I am working in a Marketing/advertising company and I see no Problem here.

my wrist is also about 150mm, and 45 mm wide. I wasnt sure after 1st tried on so I went back for second time and now Im sure 38mm is for me. For me the bands fit better with 38 mm.

people think 38mm is small because they re comparing with 42mm, it's like buying 46'' tv looks small at the store when surrounded by 55'' and 60'' tvs.
My current watches are 38" and 40mm.

Seems like you really want 42mm so I think you should go for it.

Same exact size as you. I've already posted similar images, here and elsewhere, and the responses have been the same as yours: The 38 looks better, but you could pull of the 42. Personally, I think the 42 looks big on me. I have Pebble Steel, about the same size as the 42, and have always felt it to be too big.

I was 80% sure about the 38mm, then spent some time at the Apple Store playing with the demo models, which are all 42mm. After several minutes, I turned to the display case and looked at the 38mm watches. The screen was noticeably smaller. Now I'm only 70% sure about the 38mm. :D

It's a dilemma, believe me I know. There is one other factor to consider: comfort! The 38mm will be less obtrusive, is a bit lighter and won't stick out as much as the 42mm. You probably won't bang it as much either. This is important, as you will probably be wearing the Watch a LOT during the day.
