Over the weekend the movement for each day seemed to start around 8AM pacific, so we'll see what what today holds. I'm just glad that the :06 people now seem to be on the clock; I'm guessing you'll see yours by wednesday-thursday.

I still have no good feeling for how many are between you and me though :)20). I have for some reason targeted May 3, a week from today, as my delivery date. It's a hunch, a premonition, something the little voices that otherwise give me great advice are telling me.

0:09 order here with no movement yet, Im guessing ill be on the clock tomorrow or Wednesday to be charged and shipped.

No update. No email. No nothing.

Damn :( - did you originally get the May window straight off the bat, or were you originally the first window and switched without warning?

So your ship date moved up but they sent you an apology for the delay? That's kind of cool, if a little baffling. :)

Ha, I thought the same thing. I just got the same email and my ship date moved up from June to the end of May.

You know I read a lot of posts with theories of why Apple launches seem to always have issues. Some people think they underestimate demand. Some people think they have manufacturing problems. I've participated in every launch since the iPhone 4, once in line at the store in the middle of the night (never again), all the others online. Every launch seemed to be a disaster. I've always been in the first batch except this time, first order placed 2 minutes after store went live and I'm in the 5/13-5/27 batch. I'm not really bent out of shape, for me anticipation is half the fun, reading the forum threads, waiting for status to change, watching my new baby make its way from wherever to my house. It seems to me that it's impossible that the launches are unexpected disasters. This company places 15th or 16th in the list of companies by revenue, depending on where you search. That's not because a bunch of idiots buy stuff from them even though they're screwed up. I think it's because they know how to manage the buying public. Could it really be possible that they underestimate demand EVERY TIME? No way. Could it be possible that they think they'll have enough stuff produced by launch day and then they don't? No way. So that leaves us with 2 possibilities. They either know for a fact they don't have enough stock of whatever parts on hand to launch but they launch anyway according to a strategic, carefully analyzed plan. Or, they meter out the stock in order to create frenzy. Because the more people can't have something immediately, the more they want it even if they thought they didn't want it at all. I'm no financial analyst but that's my take, for whatever it's worth. And yet I'm there for every launch because I love the creative vision (at least I did when Steve Jobs was alive), love the products. I'm there knowing I'll be ballistic during the ordering process because the store didn't go live when promised or the ordering process got screwed up or someone who ordered milliseconds after I did got their shipping notice first. All part of the game.

I hope you're right - I'd be thrilled at this point to get it by mid-week. Hope yours comes soon too!

@tk1337 - yup, May 13-27.

one can only hope for mid-week, hell, even end of week.

Just picked it up. Charged on Friday and shipped on Sunday.

Also a :06 order here; no movement of any sort since I placed my order.

I'd imagine xx:06:xx isn't quite on the clock since there are still other xx:04:xx and xx:05:xx that are still in the perpetual processing state. But hopefully we can all get something updated today or by mid-week!

My husband's 42mm Space Gray Sport was just charged & shipped yesterday. It is due for arrival tomorrow. I ordered his at 2:03 am CDT.

My 38mm Space Gray sport is still processing. It was ordered at 2:05 am CDT. :(

Hoping mine will ship soon since I was the one getting up in the middle of the night to order them!

Is the convention on this forum to quote the actual order time or the time of the confirmation email?

If it is the actual order time, did you all record the exact time?

(For the confirmation email, do you use the time in the Date header, or the actual time the email was received by your email provider?)

people have pretty much adopted the date/time that is in the header of the email (most are getting the seconds by pretending to forwardi the email)

it appears to be the best way to guage where they are in pre-orders....

for most, it seems they (we) are quoting confirmation email time (for Gmail, click "Show Original" to see when it was sent/received). I don't know my exact order time as I haven't been in touch with Apple to ask. For me, my confirmation email came in at 2:04:51 CDT and I'm in the 5/13-5/27 group... and in perpetual processing hell... ;)

Good question. I've been going by the timestamp on my email as I don't know of any other place where there might be a timestamp. You make a good point even if you didn't explicitly make it -- the ISP timestamp isn't 100% accurate since some spit out email faster than others. Which could explain why some w/ later timestamp ship before those w/ and earlier one.

I'm at :09. Pretty sure my confirmation came in within 45 seconds of ordering.

Thanks. I believe that Gmail usually displays the timestamp they actually received it, in case the Date: header is forged or the email just happens to be quite old because of technical problems. But of course one can always View Source to view all the available timestamps.

My confirmation for a 38mm Space Grey with Black Sports Band is at xx:10:58.
