38mm Space Grey People comment status here!

My :01 order that received an EOD is out for delivery.

While I await the truck, I will be sending good thoughts to those still waiting and I hope your watches ship today!

I think they do underproduce their products, but not just to whip up frenzy. Let's say they need to produce 5 million of whatever is is to meet demand at launch. They can't produce all 5 million at once, so they have to start making them months ahead of time and stockpiling them somewhere. Keeping prodcuts stockpiled in a warehouse takes money. So instead of starting production five months before launch and keeping some products in warehouses for almost half a year, they launch with only, say 3 million products and pay for only 3 months of warehouse storage. (This is assuming they produce 1 million products a month)

Also, if, for some reason, they ever overestimate demand, they'll end up with surplus inventory, which also costs money to store.

In other words, underestimating demand is good business practice. The frenzy is a side benefit.
 
Is anyone else not able to view their Order Status right now? I am getting a "We're Sorry" message on my order status page. Hoping it means some movement for me (though I doubt it).

i must have gotten lucky for once because my 00:04:17 delivers today via UPS space gray sport 38mm black band
 
Upstate NY. NO movement. No EOD. No nothing.

I ordered at 3:01am EST (3:05 email confirmation) and it has said May 13-27 from day 1.
 
I am still conflicted. Has anyone heard of the SG giving people a rash?

I ordered 33mm Space Gray Sport at around 7am EST on 4.10.15. Shipping was updated to May 21-June 4 overnight.
I ordered a 38mm Blue Sport on 4/23 in the evening hoping to get it sooner since the SG seemed to have a long shipping delay. Shipping on this watch also changed last night to match the SG.

My skin is very sensitive and I had previously had a skin reaction to the a fitbit. I like how the SG looks better than the aluminum but I don't want to end up with a watch that gives me a rash.

I had a really bad reaction to 2 different Nike FuelBand models, but I think a lot of the problem was that it was loose and rubbed the inside of my wrist which was a bad combo with sweat during workouts.

I'm going to give the sport band a try, but if it causes trouble I'll switch to a different band material.

At this point I think it's probably safer not to receive the EOD. I'm just surprised I have received 2 today for the same watch order and nothing on my other order. Hope that means the other order is actually going to come sooner.

I agree. No EOD here, no change in status, no bank charges, nothing. Processing endlessly.
 
So I ordered 38 SG, Email confirmation: 12:04:37 PST. (I'm in LA)

Has anyone who got a confirmation later than that received theirs yet? Or close to that time?
 
So, any idea what is actually going on with the 38 SGs? The 42s appear to be moving faster. I read somewhere it was a band issue, but I don't understand why a black sport band (or pink, for that matter) would be causing such grief.

Not really sure but I got mine this morning and UPS says it originated in Canada.. Im located in Kansas City, MO USA. Im just glad it got here today, 2nd shipping day isn't too bad, clearly would have loved it on release day though.
