3am Eastern Verizon reason?

Verizon always has "HOT phones” up for grab at 12am PST Thursdays. They did it for the HTC dinc and the DX (not pre-orders) verizonwireless.com didn’t experience server crash for both phones and they been sold out for a couple months after release. Anyone remember that? It took my wife almost a month and a half to receive her DX. Anyways I’m sure pre-orders will last thru the whole day. There’s no way Verizon is going to sell out in the first hour. ATT customers, One of my friends told me he received his iPhone 4 two days before store release due to pre-order. Did the same happen for you??
 
I'm pretty sure the pre ordering for the iPhone 4 back in june was was at 3 am EST as well. I remember repeatedly trying until getting it to work at 7:40am and i was late to graduation rehearsal at 8 am... still got my diploma though so whatever :rolleyes:

Either that, or Verizon wants to know who is truly dedicated.;)
 
Same reason we watch NBA playoff games that start at 10:30PM EST. Got to cater to those westies who are all visiting their shrinks!! :D jk

I think I'm gonna hit the sack early and set the alarm. The Keurig will also be primed and timed so that I'll have a fresh cup waiting. The wifey will sleep.
 
Everyone is getting the itch for the Verizon Iphone!

I am patiently waiting for Wednesday to come around. I will be camping out in my room all day doing homework and in the evening periodically be checking the Verizon site to see if I can sneak in the system and get an order in (don't roll your eyes at me you know some of you are going to try that too :p) And then its only 1 week more for it to actually get to my hands. I hope it will get here sooner then the 10th, that would be awesome!

Don't worry, you won't be the only one. I'll be checking up on the site before 3 AM EST just in case. :) And my gut tells me that we may get lucky and see get the phone one or two days before the 10th. Here's to hoping!
 
I am stealing my wife's upgrade. She said she doesn't want a new phone so it's fair game :D
 
Like the other poster said. Att iPhone preorder was 4am eastern time/1am pacific time.

It was crazy. I actually wasn't planning to be up at 4am. But had 4 day old newborn to take off who woke me up at 330am. So I happened to order online. But it was crazy. Got one order thru. Than the systems jammed.

I do not think verizon/apple will have an issue this time. The reason is simple. Att allowedany users to move up their upgrade 6 months. So many more customers eligible for iPhone 4 than usual.

Verizon hasn't moved up any of their customers upgrade dates. I doubt Verizon will sell 600k preorders on Feb 3rd. People are predicting 500k total sales through Feb 10th. But not the same preorders as Att.

Same! Stealing my wife's upgrade... let's just hope vzw.com will let you transfer upgrade and then allow the selection of the iPhone when at the "Choose phone for xxx-xxx-xxxx line"

I will try to add a line first. If that doesn't work, like all the other posts have suggested, then I will resort to stealing...:D
