looks like the iphone needs to go on a diet.

my thoughts exactly...looks like its been enjoy ing all the success too much.

i find this very doubtful. more of a publicity thing for the company. flows more traffic to the site, then "oh that case looks really nice for my iphone now...im gonna buy it" i think if it was a 3g iphone it would also use a more up to date iphone interface. ATLEAST with youtube.

and this design also go against apples design form. in the past 15 years apple has been very into form factor. getting progressively thinner, better, faster. this design doesn't really go with the whole thinner thing. i cant see "3g chipset and gps module making it fatter" because there are phones out there that are pretty thin that incorporate both of those.

but then again what do i know... obviously not much, just someone leak a iphone picture already like that kid using one on the train last year...

I hope Apple keeps the same thinness as the current phone and rounds out the edges like the Air. I think the pictures for this case make the phone look a lot thicker. The case is 2MM thick, that is a total of 4MM thicker then the actual phone. 4MM is half as thick as the Touch. To me that is a lot.

We will have to wait and see.

doesn't the phone say Cingular where it should say AT&T

The case design is legitimate, but companies commonly Photoshop whatever stock art they have available into the ad to give an impression of what it might look like with a phone inside.

Obviously, a 3G iPhone is not yet available, so they worked with what they had.

If the 3g iPhone is that fat, then thank you very much I'll keep my 1st gen one. I find it pretty hard to believe that apple will go backwards and actually make the thing thicker.
