Does anyone know if one has a car with USB/Aux for iPhone, if the iPhone Voice command would mute/pause the music when when pressing the button?
I don't suppose it would do that would it?

Speech Impediments...

This is great! I never knew it did that. I think every device should have this function... But if the members from this thread are using it then it should be loaded with jokes about the British!! This thread is defiantly beating that dead horse!

Actually, Macs still do that, if you turn on the Speech Recognition. And it tells newer jokes, the old ones are gone. But they still stink. ;)

I think it sucks that the iPhone can turn shuffle ON verbally, but not off. And if you tell it you want to listen to an album, it should assume that you want to hear it in order unless you specify shuffle.

I get most of the features to work via voice most of the time, sometimes it messes up and redials someone I already talked to. But it would be nice if you could choose the same voices the Mac uses in Leopard, this one is not nearly as clear as "Vicki" or "Alex." If the iPhone is running OS X, why not port the voice functions they already have? Seems stupid to me.

iPhone Voice... TIME?

Why can't i ask my iPhone 3G S what time it is?

IE:
me - **riding bike around, hold button on headphones for 3 seconds**.. "What time is it?"
iPhone - "It's 12:15 PM. Your next calendar item is in 15 minutes. You're never going to make it on that bike."
me - "thanks iBitch!" **ride faster**
iPhone - "Calling Mother"
me - "You win this one iPhone."

Maybe with the next Voice Command updates they'll add it. :)

BT problem?

It's too bad that the voice commands don't work from a BT headset. I hope that Apple changes their minds on implementing this as the lack of it sort of limits the functionality.

I have no problem using the feature with bluetooth. I have a BlueAnt Q1 (turn of the Q1's voice controls) and when the button is pressed on the Q1 I can say my command. It will stream music from my ipod, Pandora, anything likely, keep in mind the battery life of the average headset.
I can also access the push button/voice control from my BlueParrott and it works just as well, but it will not stream music, the music will come out of the iPhone's speakers.
Thanks for updating me on more commands, I was just getting tired of argueing with my Q1, so now I just use push button commands and argue with my iPhone. It isn't perfect yet, but no and cancel are two of my most used commands.
