I exchanged my AT&T with a VZW yesterday and promptly turned them on. Out of the box after I turned, it already started showing the signal bars "AT&T"/"Verizon" 4G/LTE (for AT&T) and just LTE for the VZW version.

To clarify this is for talking about 2 different devices: AT&T new iPad & Verizon new iPad

The Verizon iPad doesn't work on AT&T's LTE frequencies (and vice versa). But the AT&T iPad will say "4G" when it's connected to HPSA+ networks.

I know. I was saying that it showing that it only because that's what displayed on the screen of my previous iPad. Not the same iPad all in one.

Update: I turned off cellular data last night bc I was at am and just needed wifi, why waste data plan? So today I wake up and LTE is showing!

That's good but I didn't turn it back on.lol when I'm at home I only have wifi on and turn off LTE and cellular data off in settings.

Why you need to turn Data off? Once you connect to a wifi, you data won't be use.

As I suspected, my neighborhood is in an LTE dead zone. I drove a few miles down the road and LTE lit up with 56/19 on the speed test. Coming back home it rolled back over to 3G about 1/2 mile from my house.
