Here is my AT&T speed at work. We have about 70 phones mixed with Sprint, Verizon, AT&T and TMobile. AT&T has the fastest Internet of them all that we have seen.

reading this thread is leaning towards signing up with Verizon. I'll be able to facetime with 3g with a jailbroken phone and don't have to worry about a data limit. I also want to use Netflix a lot while in the car so my daughter can watch cartoons. I won't be able to do this with the AT&T version.

Why won't you be able to do so with AT&T version?

I'm sure it's just your area. Verizon's 3G where I am is really fast. I'm not worried about it. I'm nothing but excited to have more coverage than ATT and still have fast speed.

Sorry that's so huge

I've learned one thing in this thread:

Verizon people now insist that anyone on AT&T has trouble making calls when that couldn't be farther from the truth. I think It's been a year since I've had a dropped call. AT&T speeds and call quality have been amazing for me. I'm staying right where I am, with AT&T.

And AT&T people assume that since they have good success with AT&T that everyone does...

Interesting cause I'm in LA and always dropped calls on my AT&T iPhones. Ever go to Silverlake with AT&T? A total joke! And our house up in Big Bear? Nada! Nothing! AT ALL! I'll be much happier on Verizon. :D

Same here. AT&T is a TOTAL JOKE in LA. Big black hole of no service in West Hollywood.

I'm waiting for the iPhone 5 with LTE before getting another iPhone (jumped after the 3G to an blackberry).

Just did a test with speedtest. Net app on my Droid x with Verizon and got 1431 down and 951 up. I think ill be ok in my area.

Verizon has been doing a very good job in their advertising leading people to believe that all people with AT&T have trouble making calls.

I bet there are areas where Verizon is a 'joke' but you don't hear that cause of the advertising campaign by Verizon. I sincerely believe that Verizon is winning in brainwashing people and making fanboys 'most reliable network' and people are drinking the koolaid.

been with verizon for 6 years. I do not recall ever dropping a call except. When on the phone with my boss my buddy garret or my step mom. All three of them are on Att. No way of proving it was me dropping the call. But My line is on a business account and I use the phone all day long. I do go through areas where my data slows down on rare occasions. but for the most part I have an excellent connection and amazing voice/call quality and reliability. I don't think it's brainwashing. I think they do have a reliable voice network.

My roommate who has an AT&T iPhone can't even get a signal in our apt in Queens, NY. I just got my Verizon iPhone today and have constant full bars and 3G service. He nearly crapped his pants when I showed him today after work.

If verizon speed is that slow, goodluck to ya to use face time on 3g and streaming netflix

This is where Verizon's optimization (heavy compression) comes into play. It will give you an optimized (heavily pixelated) picture.

damn i just pulled 0.21 down and 0.01up i cant upload sh** on 3g I need to get outsid and try this darn phone..my android right next to me pulled a higher speed not by much but def. higher:(
