for iphone4: I'm just happy they got 4.0 and 4.0.1 jailbroken to keep us JB'ed :) ... this jailbreak wait isn't as bad as the wait for the initial iphone 4 JB.

Didn't Feel Like Starting A New Post, So.....

Quick question....

Doesn't Cydia automatically save everyone's SHSH files. From what I understand you don't even have to be on that specific firmware for Cydia to save it for you. I didn't update to 4.0.2 yet Cydia has my SHSH....I haven't updated to 4.1 yet so I can keep my JB....Just wondering why my 4.1 files haven't been saved yet??

Do I need to click on something....or is Cydia's servers so backed up it's just going to take a couple more days??

Thanks in advance.

Thats your answer....

If you are paranoid as me (and don't trust anyone else to do my job) I would Download TinyUmbrella, make the request to Apple server myself and saved a copy locally (that also guarantee that you'll have a copy on Cydia servers, Cydia message will take also some time to update)

+1

Having those .shsh files stored somewhere is just a good insurance policy.

Poison is making me more uncomfortable about future jailbreaks. For the fear that it's going to be tethered to the fear I can't even sleep my iPhone makes me not even want to jailbreak now. I read an article before poison was even tweeting about anything that the jailbreak could not be blocked unless it was given a new bootrom. But if I can't even sleep my iPhone, FML.

Wow, after reading his last 10 or so tweets, I think he is serious. You must always have your screen on. That's ridiculous. He's even created an app to make the screen black and not act to touch so it "appears" to be off. Even selling sleep/wake covers? I hope this is a joke because if it is I'll just stay on 4.0.1 if I want a jailbreak that bad.

IT'S A FAKE ACCOUNT!

All the REAL information can be found at greenpois0n.com and http://blog.iphone-dev.org/

for the official twitter accounts, go to the iphone dev team site and look on the right hand side.

Rolf. People believed this. Wow

Desperate, impatient people will overlook facts and believe just about anything.
If you told them to grip the iPhone in their left hand (antenna-gate grip), wet their right index finger and stick it into an electric socket to jailbreak, sadly some would actually do it.

Very sad indeed.

If you all didn't see...this tweet was from iH8Sn0w's twitter:

"@blackthund3r sn0wbreeze will be open source soon."

Now to figure out how long "soon" is xD and the wait continues....

Quick poll: would you jailbreak if it is tethered every reboot?

for 4.1? no. If it was the only JB option we had, probably yeah. I don't reboot that often. And when I do, it's not because the phone crashed and is unusable.

I'd rather stick with 4.0.1 myself a tethered jailbreak doesn't appeal to me at all unless there was something I really wanted in the update which at the moment there isn't !!

no way, 4.1 doesnt really have much more at all.

the reason the 4.1 jailbreak is so interesting now is because if it's as rumored and unable to be patched by apple, that would really make it more valuable... but really only if it's untethered.

i think the end users, myself included, are spoiled by the untethered jailbreaks at this point, especially after spirit and jailbreakme.
