Is it possible that this is only the case on an iPhone 3G w/ 4.1 and not a 3GS or iP4?
I didnt update to 4 with my 3G. Again, after a few days with this I still find iP4 sucking as far as text goes. Im running 4.1 since its released and still no good. Glad they fixed my battery and prox issue.
I have my 3G still intact and using it as an iPod Touch.
Ive played with it a few times and used the texting just to see if I was at fault.
The 3G is still the better fit for my texting needs :(

Ill be honest with you, I thought that too. But Ive been using my 3G for over 2 years and I know what Im experiencing with the 4. Were talking slow and methodical typing here and I still manage to fumble :p

Exactly. I've used an eye phone for 2 years now (3G, 3GS) and I've definitely noticed that it's become more arduous to text on the eyePhone four.

My wife has an issue with the wrong letters being selected. She would have her finger on the "n" and the "h" is highlighted. Several different letters do this. She's on 4.1, iPhone 4.

I have similar issues...weird corrections...like it always changes "me" to "mr".

I also have a lag...I'll be typing, and it often takes a few seconds for the phone to catch up to what I've typed.

And I totally agree on relocating the send key.

I don't have a problem with the keyboard itself

however, the OS seems hang and lag on letters if I go too fast
