    670MB??

What have they put in this??? Think Apple need to eliminate the 16GB model for the iphone 5 and have the 32GB as the base model at the same price point!

Holy hell - are there some cool games included in this update!! i remember the 200MB updates in the "good ol days" lol

yeah I know the GM has been ding the rounds and this is old news but I have not paid much attention to iPhone lately!!

    It's the entire iOS - it's not a patch.

This and back in the good 'le days, it was a 1.1.4 style update which brought just bug fixes.

There has never been just a patch though - all the smaller ones were the whole ios! I used to restoreiphones quite regularly!

This is a big baby. something in particular must be huge! iPhone firmwares have more then doubled in size!!

Tell me about it. I'm at an airport downloading over tethered USB. Burning a good chunk of my monthly data on it too. While I'm on a geeky roll let me also tell you that 1) the AT&T wifi here peaks at 20KB per second, while my iPhone gives me a healthy 100-200KB/sec; and 2) since each interrupted connection means iTunes starts over, I'm using wget -c -nd in a Linux VM and a URL from ios.e-lite.org.

Ok bye for now, gotta conserve bandwidth

only took me 10 minutes to download. and safari does seem a little faster at rendering stuff.

This crap is right up there with my annoyances at Apple for the currently 4.4 gig SDK/Xcode kit that you have to reinstall every damned beta if you want to keep developing.
