4-5 Spam voice mails daily, what to do?

iPhone15 Pro Max, iOS 26.5, Consumer Cellular:
CC says they have no spam filtering. I have shut off Haptics, sound Notifications for unknown callers, does anyone have luck w spam killer apps? Does paying +66% more at Verizon do anything for spam. Spam comes in from morning to night. I love CC. Its great at $33. No way will i ever change my phone number again, that was absolute hell, from 2step verification.

Do you see my spam calls, they are all voicemails. Yes, i have pushed all voicemails.

Is there any way to set the call filtering in another language?
User interface-> English Call Filtering -> Spanish?

You can subscribe to Call Filter from the Verizon app or website. It filters out a lot of that garbage. I think the app allows you to disable the voicemail feature too. You can also adjust filter levels to be sure it's only trash that gets filtered out.

I think they should enable an identifier if the call or text is allowed to go through it must be identified with a full name be individual or company.

Not in my experience. I get as many as you do. Silence Unknown Callers is on, so they don’t ring (thank god) but I still get a notification every time I get one.

Appreciate the tip, but of course this is a paid add-on instead of a standard feature. Been on Verizon for ages but I’m starting to really hate them.
 
Why don't you try Hiya? It's free. Enable call filtering in the Phone app and set the Protection Level as needed in the app.
Doesn't block everything but sure takes care of a few. It's not a carrier level filter though.
 
Also, OP, you could set "Ask for reason for calling" in the filtering section. I find that most times the scammers/spammers won't bother and hang up. Other than what I mentioned before, have you made sure you're on the Do Not Call list? There might be a national one and one for your state too (Florida as an example).

That doesn’t work for the ones leaving voicemails. They will come through.

It's just another layer of security on top of the previously posted tips. Like I said, he could get Call Filter from the App Store and disable the option to leave voicemails. This way, when the worthless calls come through they can't leave a message but everyone else can. Maybe it could catch a few that slip through the cracks? Not sure. Just throwing it out there.

If you are in the USA then Truecaller is the most complete and automatic for you
I use Tellows a lot
This will give you the most searched calls and will tell you what numbers are the biggest problem so you can block them
Sometimes, it may work for you that they are using ranges in which case you can block a range and 'WideProtect' works extremely well for that. It isn't automatic so you need to set it up and tell it what to block but it does work extremely well if you can do that. I've used Wideprotect for years

AI can also help a lot. If you have a suspect number it'll check it for you better than you can and if you ask it if you can block ranges of numbers it will tell you. Looking at that Tellows page it looks like +135 could probably be blocked as a range?

Stats for phone numbers - tellows

Statistics for recently searched phone numbers. Geographical statistics for phone number search requests. Which numbers are the most searched and which phone numbers have the most comments?

I just send all unknown voicemail. The calling screening still interrupts me when the screen lights up and I don't even bother. 99 percent of people I contact call me. OR leave a VM if it's important. I do agree and wish there was a better method but then again I get spam messages too and even that's more annoying. I wish SIRI AI can do something about it but I am not holding my breathe.

Please clarify for me how does Truecaller stop robo-calling voicemails. Each number calling is unique. Would i be doing exactly as i am without Truecaller, manually blocking each new number calling me? How does that stop robo-calling?

I've tried app and even on my phone provider, they have spam blocking but it really doesn't work. Sorry OP I don't have a good solution and I don't even think anyone does. These spam companies just change numbers and it's a losing battle.
