Still processing, ordered in Germany, 11:04 AM CEST... I know that I should probably just wait till May but some people are already at "Preparing for shipment" with the same model and date

At least I can't go online and don't have time to think about it when I'm working so I'll be good for the next 4-5 hours :p

my charger has been on preparing for shipment for a long time (24 hours now).. maybe its waiting to ship with my watch? lol

As soon as anyone with the Space Black SS Link notices a charge or change in status let me know immediately haha. This is what I get for ordering the unicorn of watches.

Let me know too, I'm starting to feel like the SS Black may not even exist.

Just updated

Just updated from Processing to Preparing for Shipment, 42mm Stainless Steel with Milanese Loop, Ordered 10th April, confirmation email 8:09am (UK) 4-6 week expected, 12th-26th...

I'm starting to think no one will get a space black SS update until next week.

That is what I have.. I hope it changes sooner

----------

someone claimed there Space Gray Black model shipped it was not a 4/6 week delivery though.. someone from the 4/24 - 5/8 group

Space gray and Space black are two different watches. Space Black was only available from May 13th-27th from minutes one

I'm not seeing too much action for SS Milanese loopers over here. Ordered within the first ten minutes of the pre-order launch and got the May estimate. Apple rep said I should get it sometime the next week but idk how true that is going to be. Still stuck in processing.

Apple .. why did you make the 42mm SS Link Bracelet your poster picture boy when you didn't have any for delivery on 4/24 to begin with ?

The Pre-Orders went so wrong specially with this "bit expensive, yet affordable" price range if I may say so ..
You begin with spending more than the cheaper version (Sports Watch) which were ordered the most and less than the ones which would be bought the least (Edition Watch), however you get less precedence over the cheaper ones. I'm pretty sure they must have got an idea with some statistics around Favorited items in our Apple Store App. Probably the should have run a survey way before making adjustments to their orders to the suppliers. You should know like a car company what sells the most & the least - Hatchback, Sedan, SUV, Truck and then go to assembly line.

We pick up these in blind faith, with try on appointments starting the day of pre-orders. So like everyone, I was buying a $999 watch, burning the midnight oil without even looking at it before ordering. Fine this happens with iPhones as well, but it's a matured product. So Try-On should have been a week before Pre-Order if I may say.

Now, I don't buy that Apple won't have been aware that this particular model (42mm SS LB) won't be shipped on 4/24. If you knew that some of your models had limited availability or no availability. Then allow users to order in the morning instead of waking pre-order night and rushing to know when ordered that "Oh No.. I'm not getting it on 4/24".

I see no one claim that they are getting some of the uber expensive Apple Watch on 4/24 itself. It more seems like a Apple Watch Sports launch for 4/24. (if you wanna see it this way)

Holy crap I was just trying to figure out where to post the same thing! It just dawned on me "hey, I'm dropping a frigging grand on a watch, and they can't even have any of the damn things in stock and the $350 watches get priority"? No offense meant to those that aren't/can't drop the cash on the mid-priced watch, until about a year ago I wouldn't have been able to either. But this blows that none of the $500+ watches are moving.

They didn't get "priority." They're much easier to produce. This is more of a matter if you want a well made product, or a rushed one.

I agree .. not poking fun on any first range buyers (though we are the ones to made fun off) however I see no reason you can't have any watch at all ready from the word go .. it it's any custom made for us. Keep a stock for the amount you forecast before the launch. But none ready for launch day is a bit over the top to understand for me.

I agree in that it is not priority but they should have at least had some stock available in my opinion.

Well said!

Couldn't have said it better myself. This is pretty ridiculous. I'm wondering if I should take a shot at getting to the local Apple Store on Friday AM as they are likely to have a few of each to sell on "launch day" (they obviously already have enough for each store to demo!) - then if I get one then - cancel my online pre-order. What do you all think?

:) Ordered 42 mm ss with white sports band and my my order is preparing for shipment. Shows up on my cc also.
