With the video posted the other day showing just how incredibly durable the sapphire laminate screen is why not go back to the iPhone 4/4s design and use it front and back? No scratches. No antenna lines.

..

I'm pretty excited to be seeing these kinds of rumors! I'm really looking forward to these larger screened iPhones.

what if they end up putting a flash into the apple logo so it lights up? :D

Then it better also act as a flashlight. I use the flashlight feature fairly often.
(And I am extremely happy about the decline and fall of "flashlight" apps.)

Agree. And exactly how hard would it be to match the plastic insulator color to the metal / glass colors of the enclosure?

Actually, maybe glass is heavier than whatever metal Apple is (rumored to be) using on the "6". Heavier at the same strength, that is.

for two reasons: Weight, and cost

they would have to be able to produce twice as much of sapphire glass. i'm not sure they are ready for that. maybe with the iphone 7....

they might be struggling to meet demand as it is already.

Yep...still no part leaks of a 5.5" iPhone. Just "concepts" scaled up to what people think it will look like after seeing the 4.7"

About what I figured a couple months ago, I highly doubt there will be a 5.5" iPhone.

This works great unless you're OCD. As soon as you get one scratch, you're done. Hah.

Yeah I've been lucky so far!

Plus... I like touching the screen directly. It always seemed weird to have a fantastic glass screen... but then covering it with a piece of plastic! :D

"iPhone 6 -- now pre-scratched for your convenience."

Interesting that this company received unfinished blanks of the new iPhone, without all the ports cut out. But I guess since they're not making iPhone cases, that wouldn't matter to them.

Just watched the video. iPhone 6 is going to be soo thin! Really looking forward to getting my hands on one.

Lack of 5.5" leaks could be sign of it getting released later? With only the 4.7" launching in September.

Maybe the thicker bands allow them to get rid of the back glass on the top and bottom of the back of the phone.

They look to be about as thick as the HTC One antenna bands.

Sounds like all of the "Big phone" haters are slowly coming around. They will buy big, and like big and never say they didnt want big.

Dear Apple: this freaking divider lines are ugly. Have you lost your mind?

Dear Apple: I don't care about how big the freaking divider lines hiding under my iPhone's cover are. Please engineer the phone to have excellent reception and performance (including great audio performance).

The antenna breaks definitely look better, especially on the black, which looks darker than the slate blue-ish tone used on my iPhone 5. Still wish they would go with the windowed look from that latest mockup, but oh well. Black 4.7" for me. Hope I can get it in 128GB because this needs to last me through the end of 2016—though iCloud Drive might help with that.

I may be wrong, but I have a feeling Apple won't give us a 128GB iPhone until next year.
