iPhone 11 Pro 4 day Review Pro Max

Day 14 of trialling the pro max today and I’ve gone from 70-30 returning to 50-50!! To be honest, I’ve not taken it out and about much since having it due to fear of damage etc., but I have been using it today and can feel the uplift from my xr. However, the battery life is not impressing me (see screenshot), down to 75% 5 hours after a full charge. Pretty much the same as the xr.
Camera is fantastic, although I’ve not seen a huge difference between it and the xr other than the portrait mode and night mode. Speed increase is ok, but not enough to make me change my mind. The build does feel incredibly premium but, again, not enough to pay £520 more than an 11, for example.
In short, I’m rather torn and have about 5 hours to make my decision!

Return, and get the 11. Trial period will start over. If during trial period you miss the 11PM return 11 and you will have conclusively answered your own question(s).

Fair point but seems a bit faffy as I already have the xr and the only difference between that and the 11 is the camera, which I’ve already trialled on the 11PM.
Also, if I were to get an 11 I’d want it on IUP so I can get the 12 in Nov or Dec but I’m loathe to apply for more financing (bought the PM on the 24m financing option).
Eh? I've never even had an iPad do so well on battery. I haven't had an Android beat this iPhone either.
I guess mileage may vary but I can't see how you could get better battery life from any other iDevice unless your Pro Max is somehow defective.
Fair enough. I’ve been seeing reports of 15 hours of use but now assume that to be a load of rubbish! I guess I expected more than 8-10 hours given that is what I got from my xr when I was new. In hindsight, several hours background iCloud photo usage didn’t help.
Software, yeah. If something is running a lot in the background, that might explain the diminished result.
I don't use auto brightness, have background refresh off, and other small tweaks. I've been able to go a whole day with over 8 hours SOT and still have over 50% left.
Wow 8hrs, this is a really good score. Did you use Low Power Mod and on which version of iOS?
I don't use low power mode or rather, I haven't had to yet. iOS 13.3. I haven't moved to 13.3.1 as I read some issues with reception.
Just a few tweaks like turning off push in emails, reduce motion on, no Siri, the other things I mentioned.

Day 25 of ownership. I am still 100% in love with this Max. It has been rock stable and performs excellently in all categories I would expect it to. Battery life is awesome. We got my wife one on Friday and she loves it. Overall very pleased with our ProMax’s.

12 hours screen on time, are you kidding me??? Even 10 hours seems monstrous.
I am planning to buy iphone 11 pro max 64gb next week. I have been using android for eight straight years and never ever experienced screen on time for more than 5 hours.
most of my daily usage is WhatsApp , emails, youtube streaming for couple of hours, 2-3 hours call time and few photos here and there. I mostly use LTE on phones, not wifi, i had got 30gb LTE package
what do you guys think? how much screen on time can i expect from this beast ?

my S10+ gave me around 8+ hours of screen time.. my 11 PM does about the same
i would still prefer iPhone 11pro max over s10plus not only due to great battery, there are other features like iMessage, syncing of iPhone with my MBP 2015, timely IOS updates, great RAM management and last but not the least, great camera
