I met a guy last week who did not have the reception issue. I covered up the forbidden corner and he had 5 bars and web browsing was not affected.

oddly enough the reception issue never gave me any grief... its just all these other little problems

I would keep going back. I have had my phone since the 23rd and do not have any of these issues. There are good phones out there. Sounds like you just have some ****** luck.

Yeah, some people just want to bitch about negative threads yet don't read what the actual post was about, you never said anything about the reception issue yet somen people still posted as though you did.

Thats what I am thinking too!

My friend was upset with the hairline cracks all over his 3GS after 3 months... he took it in and the genius said "we can replace this now, or we can replace it 9 months from now so you get an all new phone for free after a year... its up to you"

He went in and they hooked him up with a new phone, he actually passed on the iphone 4 because he loves his 3GS so much and its new again!

I was gonna pass on the 4 and keep my 3GS until i actually used the new one...it blows the 3GS away!!!

My previous iphone (3g) had dust under the screen... I just think it is (unfortunately) normal depending on where you store it. I keep mine in my pockets with lint and such.

I removed the dust a few times and just gave up.

I don't think that any company can sell 3 million new widgets in 3 weeks without some quality issues. At least that's what I tell myself when as a member of a group of 4 friends who got iP4s I've seen two of us exchange ours already for issues other than antenna/reception.
