I got the 44. It was never a question but I also wear larger watches. I have pretty large wrist and arms.

Hi there! Had 42 through a few apple watches. They were looking good on my 160mm wrist. I bought two 44 and 40mm Apple Watches S4. I’ve been wearing them nearly for two weeks and still can’t decide with which one to go. I feel comfortable with each size 40mm look a little bit tiny but 44mm a little big ones. What a mess Apple did ⌚️ What do you think?

I have the 44mm and small wrists. I will admit it looks a bit more techno for dressing up. But I’ve seen some pretty large conventional watches. So the 44mm still works for me.

Looking at picking up an S4. Had an S3 42 aluminum a while back that I ended up selling since I wasn't a huge fan of how the sensor wasn't flush with the rest of the watch. Sort of interested in a stainless, but I'm not exactly happy about being forced to pay extra for the cellular in addition to the stainless if I wanted a brand new one. I've seen a few used stainless 44's in mint condition listed in the high 500s, or at 600 flat. Would you guys think it's worth grabbing a used stainless, or just settling for a new aluminum 44? Unfortunately, the sellers of the 44's don't have the sport loop (only the band), so if I take the stainless, I'll have to plop down some extra for a sport loop (huge fan of the loop when I had it, hated the band)

I did a lot of comparisons then measured my wrist. The 44 band was long enough. So that’s my choice. Done.

We got my wife a 44mm watch last October for her birthday. She likes big real-estate to see. She takes off her glasses to read. I expect I'll be getting mine late for my birthday. I put *on* glasses to read. I haven't worn any jewelry since I needed to wear a watch as a USAF pilot. I don't care for the feel of jewelry. But I have a dozen stints. The fall feature was the final selling point for my wife. (I will likely use a golf GPS app as well). I am waiting to see what health improvements there are in the next AirPods as well.

I expect the smaller watch will be more comfortable on my wrist (cloth bands, yeah!). But the more I can do without putting on my readers, the more useful the watch.

Hello guys, 165/170mm wrist here. Today my Moto 360 2 (42x42mm) left me. I can’t decide between 40mm and 44mm Apple Watch series 4; tried both at the Apple store, still no verdict. Here’s a pic with the Moto.. What do you think will be more suitable? Thank you

I got the 44 Gold SS. I have very small wrists. In fact on the included sports band, I probably would have worn it on the tightest hole. It did look a little big. Got a nice leather strap for it, and for whatever reason, doesn't look nearly as big. Just looks like a nice big watch. I really like the gold -- looks like a normal watch rather than a mini iPhone on my wrist.

Debating whether to return my 40 for the 44. Q-will they transfer the Apple care?

Q2- anyone have a pic of the sport loop orange band?

Thanks!
Hattie

It depends. If you purchased from Apple, there is a 2 week return period. If you are within the two weeks, you can get the new watch. They will take back your watch and cancel the Apple Care Plus and reissue Apple Care for the new watch.

I had a 38 Series 1 and then to keep my band collection went to a 38 Series 3. After using a S3 Frontier the last month when I took a break from Apple. I have changed my opinion. I will go 44 when I upgrade next.

I have the 40 but this fall I will want to upgrade to a new 44 SS. The glass has already scratched while my older SS Sapphire never did.

After much deliberation I went for the 40 mm gold aluminium Watch. I was going to hang onto my series 3 but Apple went and enabled the ECG feature in the UK giving a good reason to upgrade. I got the cellular version again although my carrier still doesn’t support it. I’m hoping in September it might start supporting it.

I moved from O2 to EE in September purely to get cellular on my S4. Don't have a single regret

Easy, I'm athletic, weight lift and more on the minimalist side. I went with a 40mm on the 4 series... SS with white band; I prefer stainless for durability and semi-imitation sapphire crystal. I plan to get the Nike band. Most people buying Apple watches posting here come off as fashion divas lol. If you want a functional and sleek watch that's not in the way, get the very respectable 40mm. If you're a fashion diva, like big watches and screens, get the 44mm.

I'm average height 5'10" but about 200lbs and lean. So, not tall, but thick and wide with a mesomorph build ... just how you like it ;-P ....think Captain America or Thor build with bigger chest from power lifting. Ya, I run/bike competitively too, jack of all trades. I competed ranger challenge in the Army.
[doublepost=1555288430][/doublepost]...and to summarize your response, You must be a fashion diva due to the offense you took?

...also thought it might important to share my wrist size since size matters to you ;-P 190mm (just over 7.5"). I use the second to last setting on the M/L band.

On another note, I'm actually tempted to try the 44mm for the better battery life since I'm using cellular for the first time and the 40mm watch is just making it through the day with around 15% battery life left. Also, the display for some text is a little small on the eyes. I'm upgrading from a series 1 38mm, which I used minimally. With the new watch faces, wireless, etc. I'm actually using the watch a bit more. If it were not for some of the images being hard to read at a quick glance and shorter batter life, no doubt I'd prefer to just hold onto the 40mm... going to try something different though... be a fashion diva with some functionality ;-)
