I couldn't agree more, smh

Why? There are still people that aren't getting their watches for a couple weeks, and ordering right now still puts you towards the end of June for an estimate.

But production is normalizing to a more appropriate window so maybe even those orders will come sooner. I think that's great.

Because the better question is: why do you care if you get your watch now and so does someone else who didn't wait as long? You didn't stand in line at a store and waste hours of your time, you don't have to pay any more than they did, and you're still getting it before them. That's actually exactly how this is supposed to work. Not a mandatory two month wait for anyone who wants a watch.

Take your watch and be happy about it, stop worrying about someone else getting the watch right after you. If you really have the time to spend thinking about that, then you need something legitimate to do with your time.

It worked, thanks! Just showed as "Shipped", nothing on UPS though. Hopefully it's coming from US dist. center, not directly from China. In this case I'm getting it tomorrow probably.

Glad to be of service. I saw your follow-up; lucky you, I don't have a time of delivery window yet ;)

I'm thinking I'll pick it up at the hub shortly after it arrives tomorrow morning depending on the distance.

4/11 order shipped, in UPS system for delivery tomorrow (Friday 5/29).

Southern California

:D

Grabbed my tracking number and routing to the Customer Care center for UPS in my area, I have seen UPS show up as early as 9 and as late as 6 though the normal is around 3-5 (I use to buy a lot from Newegg...). Don't want to risk not being around or having someone swiping it. My white sport strap is coming via FedEx though haha.

No, it doesn't. It puts the estimated shipping and delivery dates right about the middle of June. Thaty's the exact same time-frame I have for an order from APRIL. By most business practices, that is absurd.

Because the better question is: why do you care if you get your watch now and so does someone else who didn't wait as long?

Why do we care? Because we PRE-ORDERED back in April, maybe?

That's actually exactly how this is supposed to work.

No, that's not how it is 'supposed to work'. People who took the time (and had the money ready) to order their watches before the launch date should be taken care of first. Period. That's how good business is supposed to work.

Take your watch and be happy about it, stop worrying about someone else getting the watch right after you. If you really have the time to spend thinking about that, then you need something legitimate to do with your time.

Is holding down a 50-hour a week job, running a 4-person household and taking care of two school-age children legitimate enough for you, there Mister Judgmental??? That's what I do with most of my time, personally. Yet, I still have time to ponder how (and why) Apple screwed this launch up so badly and just how unfair it has been to those who ordered early before the launch date of April 24th. It's a legitimate gripe for many people regarding the way Apple has conducted business with its customers during this launch, whether you'd personally like to agree or not.

4/11 watch was shipped!
Should come in tomorrow, I'll likely pre-sign.

It was a pleasure anxiously waiting for this piece of wrist porn with you guys <3

Since you quoted me, here's my response. First of all, the shipping estimates for people who just ordered changed to 2-3 weeks, which is mid-April, same as me, not end of April.

Why do I care? Well, if I take the time to "pre-order", I'd think I'd get mine before someone who ordered over a month after me, that's just common sense. It's not about wanting everyone else to have to wait as long as me. However, it should obviously leave a bad taste in one's mouth to order so long ago, and wait like this, when one could've just waited until now and order.

Who out there is still waiting for PFS? I ordered on the 26th and am trying to figure what date we are up to now. Looks like all 11 and 12 are shipping? Anybody order between 13 and 26 and still not have PFS?

Ordered 04/18 at 2:50pm.
Still "Processing Item".
I just got a revised "Available to ship: 2-3 weeks" notice and delivery window "16-22 June".

Yep ordered the 26th and in the same boat as you. Can't believe the Canadians are ahead of us!!

I suspect it has to do with the way the global distribution of orders works. I think it would be very, very difficult for the various distribution channels and centers to synch orders placed, say, in the US, Canadian, UK, etc. in such a way to respect the global queue when processing the orders.

For orders processed by the same center I would imagine this to be relatively easy. But not for centers located in different countries and with different distribution channels.

I totally get it but Apple is an American company and should totally fulfill American orders first. 'Murica! I guess this is the thought process that leads to other countries hating us :)

Ordered around May 4-5th, haven't gotten an email from Apple but the order status online shows it moved up a week (June 16-22).

I suspect nationalistic considerations do not enter the equation in these matters.

Besides, I almost convinced that keeping and honoring a global schedule of orders is really technically quite a challenge. I do not see a multinational corporation investing time and resources to just honor a global order list according to the time of placing orders. But maybe I am wrong (or not sufficiently cynical) and there are other reasons...

I ordered on 4/27 at 10am still waiting for PFS.

I spoke with Apple tonight. I asked them WHY if I ordered more than a month ago the SAME exact shipping date would be listed on apple.com and the guy didn't really have an answer except to say that most shipments seem to be going our earlier than the expected date. I think anyone who ordered in April will have their watch in the next week.

Hah, you're a funny guy. I seriously doubt that. I'm calling delivery 8th-12th for my 4/22 order (predicted when I was 22nd-29th and now I'm 16th-22nd) and I think that's pretty optimistic. Later in April will be even worse off.

Why do we care? Because we PRE-ORDERED back in April, maybe?

Is holding down a 50-hour a week job, running a blah blah whine whine whine...

Stop screaming, I know when we pre-ordered...because I happened to be there.

The initial post wasn't hostile, so this time I'm just going to be blunt: no one cares. We all had to wait, now suck it up. We all knew the ship times were eventually going to get better. You had every opportunity to leave the queue if it was so painful for you to wait.

Still, you're getting your watch before others. You supposedly have 4 people at home to care after and a new watch coming in...so...again why are you focused on other people? It just seems like you enjoy the attention that comes with incessant whining.

And your reply proves his point.. Maybe you should read it more carefully.

I don't think they ever intended to read it, but they did want to spend the time to pick it apart for their convenience.

Considering the Apple store is showing that new orders are showing a 2-3 week delivery I think your pessimism will prove to be wrong.

"A mechanical failure has delayed delivery. We're adjusting plans to deliver your package as quickly as possible. / Your shipment is scheduled to arrive today after the delivery commitment time"

That was interesting since the message was during the time before touchdown at my local airport and after leaving Kentucky from UPS main hub. Hopefully it will still arrive at the customer care center today -crossing fingers-
