Charged early this morning and preparing for shipment! phewww
I've gotten in a bad habit of checking my Chase account in the middle of the night if I wake up. So I did last night at around 2:00am PST and saw that finally, Apple has charged my card. Flipped over to the Apple Store App and saw that I'm now Preparing for Shipment. Bout time!

Everyone has been going on the assumption that they are using the same routes as the iPhone 6's. That site is: https://flightaware.com/live/iphone
It seems to follow; shortly after they land in Louisville people are seeing charges/confirmations.

Looks to be 6 inbound to Anchorage... They should start landing in Louisville sometime around midnight Eastern.
It is hard to tell how long it takes to charge/change status because you don't know which plane it is on. That said, the first one landed right around midnight last night and the earliest change of status I seen reported today was 1:00 something, so I am guessing less than two hours. Then again, if they have 6,7, 8 planes of cargo it is probably taking them a good amount of time to get it sorted and through the system.
A lot of speculation in the above of course.
I think we see charges not in Louisville, but rather once they leave the factory in China. It's just coincidence that the time the planes arrive in Louisville we see some charges. But I think charges are made when the labels are made in China.
Further, I think the labels are made a few hours before the flight as they're packing up boxes and making pallets full of them.

Haha, I feel the same way... It was like the best $750 that's ever been taken out of my credit card.
I hope you are wrong... because that would mean I won't see a watch in the next two days (I don't have access to the CCD online, but tracking by reference on UPS shows nothing either). At least I would assume they would show up in the UPS site for tracking by reference if they do indeed print in China...

Same with me. I was pre-authorized around 8 last night. Figured it would ship last night. About an hour ago I chatted with apple because status has not been updated. I wanted to make sure there were no issues. They said there were no issues and all was good. It was a pre-authorization which does not guarantee anything. I was simply told watch will arrive by the 8th. I suspect it will ship today for delivery tomorrow.
E-mail says XX:10.. I see this morning the header says XX:09:48... so I guess I did learn I should be in the 09 group instead! I am prepared for that to be the best news I get all day! haha!
How do I track by reference? I tried putting my phone number in but no record of it. Maybe I am doing it right but it isn't in UPS system yet. Any advice? I didnt pay any attention before to the people doing it because I was in Processing hell at the time.
