I absolutely loved the feel of the band. So soft, so comfortable. The watch face is definitely a lot smaller than I thought it was going to be. I think I have average wrists, but definitely wouldn't want to go smaller than 42mm. I think the 38mm is way to small for me.

The think I like most about the design of the watch is how light it is. I picked up the SS watch and was surprised at how much heavier it felt. For working out (running, lifting weights, etc.), I think I would definitely feel the weight of the SS watch after a while. Yes the sapphire crystal screen and ceramic back are cool, but not worth it if you're primarily using the watch for fitness-related activities. Too bulky.

In the end, I think I made the right choice on my pre-order, the Space Gray Sport is just right for me.

I couldn't agree with you more. I pre ordered the Sport in Space Gray with a black band in 38 mm (my wrists measure 6 inches / 152.4 mm) and the 42 mm just in case. The 42 mm was too large for me. Glad I did the pre order first then the try on in the Apple Store. The sport edition was noticeably lighter in weight than the stainless steel. The light case plus the "rubber band" make this the perfect choice for me and fits in with my active (cycling, hiking, etc.) lifestyle.

40g vs 50g... so that is a weight difference of almost exactly 2 nickels. I am surprised it felt so perceptible

From the Apple website, it lists the 42mm sport case at 30g and the 42mm SS case at 50g, so 40% lighter.

Still, I too was surprised at how much of a difference I felt (could just be me).

The stainless steel with the steel band felt extremely heavy compared to the sport. It was the difference between my plastic pebble and the over sized black on black stainless fashion watch I wore before it. One I feel comfortable lifting and running in the other I wouldn't.

I'm glad to see reviews of the Sport Space Grey as I was beginning to worry with people saying it felt cheap. Although I sort of ordered it because it was cheap but I do like the look of it!

I thought the same thing! I thought the SS was uncomfortably heavier than the sport.

Trust me, it feels anything but cheap. It looks and feels great on your wrist. You made a great choice! ;)

I was set on getting the SG, after seeing it in person. So beautiful and sleak, but after trying it on. I was not impressed by the way it look on my arm. Just wasn't feeling it at all. Ask the guy doing the fiting to try it on. Yo it looks so much better on lighter complexion people. Tried the SS on, I was like darnit, because I didnt want to spend an extra $200. But it looks ways better on arm Than the SG for sure. My wife and her girl friends confirm it with just there reaction. Here's a few shots. Let me know what u guys think.

The Space Gray Sport seems to be the overwhelming favorite, at least with the people reporting which one they ordered. I can't wait to get mine.

Did it feel bigger or smaller than you expected?

Would you recommend 38 or 42 for someone with a similar wrist size as you?

Cheers ...

I tried on both the 38 and 42 of the Space Gray Sport. Although the 38 looked good when I took a picture of it on my wrist, it looked to small when I actually looked at it.

Conversely, the 42 looks huge in the picture I took, but just right when I actually wear it.

The end result is I now have 2 watches on order. :(

What size is that, buddy?

Did it feel bigger or smaller than you expected?

Cheers ...

It's 42mm, and it felt smaller than I expected. My invicta and Citizen Eco drive, 48mm. So maybe that's the reason for the apple watch feeling a bit small. But the SG and SS are beautiful I most say.

I would i think some one with a smaller wrist than mine could pull of either 38 or 42mm for sure. But the best thing to do is try them on and see.

42mm Space Gray Sport Try-On Review

That's the one! I ordered the space grey, this morning, but after seeing the photos of different examples., from people in the apple stores I swopped to the SS 42mm Milanese Loop. Now waiting for June instead of the first batch release. And a bigger bill
