42mm are in much more demand

I am sure Apple will ship before or in the early windows of those dates, however the 38mm has always been much easier to get than the 42mm, so the shipping times for 38mm don't really apply to us that ordered the 42mm.

It is ridiculous the amount of delays however

Disappointed about the delay :(

Does anyone know if watches that haven't yet been shipped will be shipped with the 1.01 update already loaded?

I read in another post that you would get it with v1.0 and would need to be updated. BUT I guess someone who gets one next week or so could answer that.

Ordered on 4/21 and am in this "Delivery" range. Like others I hope that they over deliver and we get the watch in early to mid June. Not holding my breath though as this model seems to be severely backordered.

As to orders from 4/11-4/30 being in the same range, it actually makes sense. The bulk of the preorders probably came on the first day. It's entirely possible that more watches were ordered on day 1 than day 2-19 combined. I suspect once they get through the first day we'll see several days worth of orders fulfilled per wave.

Just please Apple don't screw us and offer this model in store before preorders are filled.

Your not really getting "screwed" cancel your order and go into the store and pick one up. Either way you've waited the same amount of time. I've waited patiently and want my watch just as bad I've just come to accept when it's my time in line I'll get one.

Have to disagree. "Preordering" a product that then gets sold in bulk in stores before the preorders are filled is "screwing" the people who preordered. What's the point of a preorder at that point?

Will I be butt hurt over it? No. Will my respect for Apple as a corporation take a hit? Absolutely.

What's your take on maxfields selling them? Has your respect for apple taken a hit? Walk into maxfields get one today while your still waiting? #

From what I've read on other forums (which admittedly is nothing but pure conjecture) most think that if/when Apple begins selling watches in-store in June that only a few limited options will be available, likely being the less popular 38mm varieties until all pre-orders have been met and Apple's production is able to catch up to consumer demand.

Personally I'm inclined to believe that IF Apple does indeed begin selling watches from their stores in June that they won't be selling models that pre-order customers have spent weeks waiting on. Of course fairness and business ethics typically have little to do with my wants and expectations.

Not a huge fan of it to be honest. Don't really see how it benefits Maxfields or Apple. The bulk of people who bought in MF will likely never step foot in one again. I think it would have made far more sense for Apple to offer the Edition watches in the boutique shops as those are at a price range more in line with everything they sell. Have a feeling both parties probably regret that arrangement at this point. MF's gets a bunch of "lower class" patrons that they really don't want and Apple has the minor embarrassment of turning a high end boutique shop into a scalpers dream store lol!

If I lived in LA, I might have gone there if it was convenient. From what I've read, it was quite the PITA process though. Not sure it's worth taking a day off work to get a watch.

Heres the part that interests me.

Ordered my 42mm Space Grey Sport on 4/28, In the exact same boat as everyone else with the June 22-29th window and yet if you go to the store online and look to purchase the exact same watch, you're getting "ships in 4-6 weeks". I find it odd that a person can order the watch right now and have the same if not sooner window relative to my order from a month ago.

Likely means we'll get ours closer to the 4 week point while people who order now will be closer to the 6 week point.

Seems maybe the are ramping up production. 42mm SG were at 5-7 weeks shipping earlier this week. Wonder if they overcame some manufacturing challenges and are getting better yields now.

Yeah, that just tells me that they are catching up to the supply and demand. If you see in other threads, people who are in the May 29-June11 range are starting to receive some watches. I feel like since we are almost out of the first 30 mins of pre-orders, we will start jumping hours opposed to seconds/minutes.

If it is any consolation, the "4-6 weeks" on the 42mm Space Grey, if you begin the checkout process, shows that it will be delivered "29 June - 13 July". Still, though, this certainly makes evident issues with fulfilling pre-orders.

April 18th

Ordered mine (42mm Space Gray Sport) April 18th in the evening. I have the same June 22-29th delivery date. It does look like most people are getting theirs one week before the predicted time given by Apple. I'm really hoping that is the case at the worst.

42mm SG Sport
