Got me sitting here counting the seconds of order time
Before my 7:00:01 ships.
 
So my 05:51 order arrived today and I thought I'd share my initial impressions about the watch with the rest of you that are waiting.

First, the box is big and heavy. I've seen unboxing videos but they didn't prepare me for what it's like in person. It's a 3 pound box and much bigger than I imagined.

Second, the watch itself is much smaller than I imagined. I literally had to check the box and be sure they sent me a 42 and not a 38. After using a 42mm, I think somewhere close to 50mm would be perfect.

Third, the tactic feedback is pretty awesome. Way better than some vibration or buzzing on your wrist. Very nicely done.

Fourth, the digital crown is also great! I love how the resistance increases as you reach the top or bottom of a list.

Fifth, and out of order...the pairing process is super slick and easy. This is what Apple is known for and they continue to raise the bar.

Lastly, the build quality overall is superb. I charged it up fully and put it on my wrist at 1:30 PM. It's now 6:15 PM and I have been using it non stop from texts to phone calls to just checking it all out. My battery is currently at 74%. That seems pretty good! I also noticed that I've only taken my phone out of my pocket two or three times and have done all sorts of stuff directly from the watch very quickly and easily.

So far, nothing but great things to say about it! Unless anyone has any questions for me, this is my last post in this thread. Hang tight guys, it's worth the wait. Don't lose your excitement or enthusiasm!

At 11:52am EST today, I received a push notification from Chase alerting me of a charge from Apple on my credit card. The charge was now on my card and my status changed to "Preparing for Shipment."

At 5:08pm EST, I received an email form Apple alerting me that my watch status has now changed to "shipped." At first I was unable to track my shipment, but at 5:20pm EST, I was able to track my watch. According to UPS, the package is being delivered by UPS Next Day Air Saver.

I am so glad that I get my watch before my last final on Friday. I was going to have to change the shipping location if I saw no movement by Wednesday.

I hope everyone else starts to see movement soon.

I was all jacked up weeks ago but now I'm pretty bummed and all I hear from my anti Apple fans is how Apple really screwed this up for all their loyal customers. They are correct. At this rate we'll be lucky to get it in May.

Just not as excited now as I was during all the iPad and iPhone pre-orders.

TBH I like waiting, it builds up suspense. When I had to wait for my iPhone 6 Plus I was annoyed but I got it and two days later I was like meh w.e it's a phone so I don't mind it but if it gets to out of hand than I'll get a bit annoyed.

XX:16 here, I'm with you. Feel like I'll still be checking this thread mid to late May wondering where everyone went and why I still don't have my watch

Shipping scenario based on my experience

Based on what I have seen on two watches and following this forum watches that deliver to Louisville, KY and Ontario, CA tonight get processed in the AM around 9:00 AM and CC charges and Preparing for Shipping status changes and then later that day UPS assigns tracking and deliver next day air.

Those planes coming in tonight have the late XX:06's and early XX:07's on them and so on and so on. Count about 3 - 4 days per minute of orders.

Hang in there they are coming.
 
42mm SG/Black, ordered at 00:04, billed to my CC and shipped today, UPS tracking is active out of Harrisburg, PA but doesn't show a delivery date - it is however Next Day Air Saver so I assume tomorrow (although I'm not home until Thursday night).
 
In case there are any geeks like me fascinated by the numbers and timing of all of this, these are the times listed in this thread who were charged or had change to prepare to shipping today: 37 people by my count. If they listed Apple order time and e-mail confirmation time, I took the earliest time listed. Have a feeling the 6:52 e-mail confirmation may have ordered sooner than that with a longer than usual delay between order and e-mail.

:14 past here. There are plenty of us that will be waiting well into mid-late May. We are about half way there though. Its all down hill from here. :D
