Lets not forget that for the past 2 weeks, the day of the week with the MOST charges/movements is Thursday. Apple likes to save the bulk of the orders for Thursday and then overnight them so people receive them on Friday.

The fact that there were like six planes landing in Louisville last night that resulted in zero people being charged really throws a bone in the whole "CCs are charged when planes land in Louisville" theory.

I think maybe cards are charged when leaving the facilities in China...in the past, it probably coincidentally coincided with the planes landing in Louisville (the time they were landing wasn't too far off when planes were leaving China). Then the orders probably get tracking info once they clear customs in the states.

If this is true, then flight tracking won't really do any good since we can't track planes before they leave China. And the times of charges have been changing from day to day, week to week which could mean different manufacturing schedules.

tl;dr: The credit card charges may have coincidently been linked to planes landing in Louisville or Anchorage when in reality the data may simply be a correlation but not causation.
The other thing i'm unclear about is this. A friend of mine got his 38mm on Tuesday. This was his tracking info. So where does Harrisburg fit into the all watches start in Louisville KY theory?

Thank you so much but I've found a page here on MacRumors where people actually speak English about german orders ( https://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?p=21236414 ). I don't know a word of german :( I've uncles there so this is the reason I've ordered on the german Apple Store (I'm italian).

My 38mm was charged last Saturday, but didn't get shipping information until the next business day. Monday UPS showed it starting in California for me. Then it's next day delivery to Colorado.

Louisville must be a major apple distribution hub that gets the inventory, scans it, assigns it to the next person in line and charges their card. Then Apple teleports it to your UPS Regional hub, aka California for me, and UPS starts it's scanning and transportation.

You are not alone my friend, A lot of us went through that same issue. Luckily a quick google search in that first 5 min after the site should have gone live keyed me into using the iPhone app. That's how i was lucky enough to get in the order 8 min past the hour. Oh well, that's how it works sometimes. Bottom line is a lot of us should see the watches within the next two weeks (hopefully early next week for me :D). We have waited this long so whats another week or two.

My wife got her 38mm WSB on launch day, I have tried to not play with it too much so I dont ruin the experience when I get mine. But I can say to all of you IT IS WORTH THE WAIT. She absolutely loves it! And from the little I used it all I can say is it's an excellent product. HANG IN THERE EVERYONE

I am in that boat also, except I did not have sense enough to go to iPhone and Apple app. when my IMAC finally came online, I luckily had saved watches to favorites and only had to hit buy. Still ended with xx:11:20. And like you my wife got her 38mm sport with blue band on launch day and I agree it is worth the wait. We will be ahead of the learning curve with having had at little exposure to the watch. After helping set it up I have tried to not mess with it. The "green eyed monster" is hard to fight. LOL

Louisville is the worldwide air hub for UPS, but the part that I was referring to was the fact that everyone is talking about tracking flights from AK into KY, but his watch went from PA to VA to KY, then to NE. Just kind of makes the point of tracking flights going to KY even less relevant to where these things are actually going.

In case this helps anyone:

My card was charged (pending) on 4/27; the charge fell off on 4/30.
My card was charged (pending) on 5/5 around 2pm; I received a text and email from apple almost immediately.
The watch shipped from Harrisburg in the next several hours to Louisville (Harrisburg came before Louisville) and then on to Orlando. I received the watch about 24 hours after the charge (5/6). BTW, that charge is still pending as of now (5/7) and looks no different from the earlier charge in my Chase account. The earlier one was obviously a hold or preauth but they both alerted the same.

I love the watch! Already used it a ton for texting. Very convenient; nice to keep my 6plus in the pocket.

Been watching this thread for a while. Just haven't posted.
My order time is: xx:16:31 and obviously it's still processing. Good luck to all the 7s and hopfully they will start the 8s today.

Louisville is a UPS hub. Other than handling Apple shipments there is no relation. Louisville is not labeling shipments. They are almost certainly labeled at the factory. But the individual package labels may get their first actual UPS scan in Louisville.

Any one know what time on preorder day it jump to June delivery, was it xx:18 or more? What to know how many more minutes left for all may13-may27 orders left

XX:16:53 and I'm in the May 13-27 window, still holding out hope I'll have it before next weekend (by the 15th) but every day reading these posts I am starting to wonder if it will arrive before the 27th....

Orders placed mid-late April

Question for anyone who may know, asking for a friend. I know most of the 07 and 08's are up right now, at what time do most of the bulk of preorders start to decrease, basically at what time will we start to see preorders ship sooner?

Just charged for my 42mm Space Grey 13-27 may!!!

Well the xx:00:01s to xx:12:30s seem to be most of the apple store app preorders because it was up before the website but the website seems to be from xx:13:00 to xx:30:00. Now there were many more as people were getting up so its hard to say i would estimate mid to late June but i could be completely off on that. that also depends on where your friend lives and what model he is looking to get.

Louisville World Hub UPS

Just an FYI to all, I live in Louisville and have a few contacts that works on the tarmac at KSDF in Louisville and have seen all of these planes coming in, there was 5 large drums that had a large apple logo on the outside and was locked down like fort knox, can only imagine that is watches. I cant post on here often but follow me on Twitter @Joshua_Pavey for updates and possible pics. There are more planes coming in from Anchorage than what is posted on that tracker for security reasons.

Will post updates on planes firsthand to my Twitter @Joshua_Pavey

I don't know what Apple "likes" but do you really think the company is "saving orders" for a week at a time when there's this much pressure to fill orders? Seems extremely unlikely to me.

If it is indeed true that more orders are shipped on Thursdays, I would posit that there's an alternative explanation.
