So I guess our guy with the "inside" info was only off about the date but he got the "big wave" part right.

I definitely feel a little better now. My contact never got back to me after I sent him a "wtf" message after the last few days mishap...but he sent me a text this morning that just said "Incoming. ;)"

Ahh, sweet validation. :)

Convenient for you, too! Too bad you hadn't posted that BEFORE the rush started.

Ok, next bit of info...direct text copy/paste:

"The day lag was due to extra QC checks on the replacement taptic engines. Everything checks out 100%. People may be upset their watches shipped a day behind, but should be happy that they are definitely working 100%."

"I'd estimate to be through the 15 minute orders by Fri, maybe 16. After that, expect :15-:60 shipped by the next Fri."

Again, take with a grain of salt.

Sorry, this is the first chance I've had all day to even get on the forums. Moving into a new house kinda prevents me from being on my phone.

Edit: And honestly, I'm posting here as kinda a "service" to you guys. Not trying to make money, get Twitter followers, or become some legend. Simply passing on the info I get as I slowly wait for my XX:50 order. :)

I like the sound of that, makes my 13 May for me look very good

That would be amazing if true. Fingers crossed!

My apologies too. We were just upset because your post got our hopes so high and then it was a big let down when nothing came through the next day. The big wave has definitely hit. Lots of action today!

Your source's credibility got quite a boost today.

I think it would be interesting to see Apple totally crank the watches out now and see how many of the "worst launch ever" proclaimers start posting their "amazement Apple could crank it up so much."

Regardless of the information provided it is a source of hope so to speak. I for one (one of the charges that went through today) appreciate the feedback. The rest who are waiting can agree or disagree with what gets posted by this user but any info is good info

I wish I could validate more for you guys about where my info comes from, but, I mean, I think you guys understand why I can't.

If I don't "feel good" about the info, I won't post anything. But when logistically it makes sense and is feasible, I'll be here first thing.

The first bit of info I posted (way back) was that the majority of orders hit between the :05-:07 marks. We saw super slow shipping days to get through those areas. Today, we passed through 8s, 9s, and even some 10s. Surprisingly enough, the number of orders per minute is actually declining from this point forward. 10s, 11s, and 12s fall off slowly, but the biggest drop is from :13-:15, which is why they feel somewhat confident we will be through :15 by the end of this week.

I don't have the info to support it, but I personally feel confident that I will have my watch in my hand (42mm SGS XX:50, Georgia) by May 22.

So, I had the bank hiccup that I thought I would have - based off someone else's experience earlier in the week. Apple tried to charge my Bank of America card, but failed authorization. Called the bank, everything was fine. I used Apple Pay, but ended up having to enter my credit card info into Apple's website anyway. That method went through just fine. Checked with the bank, Apple's charge is pending.

Downside, my order status still says Processing Item. I assume my watch will be sent out soon only because Apple is now authorized the funds. I chatted with Apple chat folks, and they gave me the same thing "it's shipping may 13 - 27"

I'm assuming now I'll get the watch this week - I'm not too worried since I'll be away most of the week and if it arrives while I'm gone, i have something to look forward to when I get home.

Sorry to blab, just wanted to share my experience for those who are eagerly waiting their orders.

CC Charged around 2:30pm PST (confirmed with Apple, and my bank)
