Part of the excitement for me has been checking in on this thread. No, I don't NEED this watch and the world won't come to an end if I have to wait longer.
But..... It is not so much "I want it and I want it NOW" as it is "I can hardly wait! This makes me feel like a little kid waiting a much anticipated surprise"
Maybe you should take a step back from this thread if you feel we feel juvenile and entitled. I will actually miss the excitement of everyone waiting for their watch!

How can I know if it is a authorization pending or a regular charged? i saw the transaction on my CC yesterday, but im still at processing.
This wasn't true for the new Macbook I ordered the same opening day as the watch. It was a stock configuration,yet I got a tracking number when it left the factory in China. I followed it as it flew to Hong Kong, Japan Narita, Osaka, then on to the US. Still arrived within the promised two day delivery time, five days after ordering.

All these people arguing about at what point the charges are made to your credit card. Does it really matter? It makes no real difference to anything, and you are flooding the thread with silly arguments based on bits and pieces of fact and fiction.

I agree to an extent. I think we, as a society, in general, have developed an "I want it now, entitlement" mentality as you've suggested.
That said, there are some of us in this thread, who are just enjoying the anticipation and fun of it all. There's an old German saying. "Vorfreude ist die größte Freude." Basically translated - "Anticipation is the greatest form of joy." I for one, am here, just having fun with the anticipation of it all. Do I think Apple botched this one a bit..yes. Do I also believe that I still live in a world where accidents happen, and there's no one to blame...absolutely. I don't see negligence or conspiracy behind every act as some do. To me, this is fun. Looking forward to my cool new, probably pretty buggy and 1st gen gadget.

I think we can safely say that Apple has multiple means of fulfilling orders for stocked items. Yours came from China. Others may have received same from Stateside.

totally agree with you on this one man ! this thread went from shipping statements and CC Charged to arguing about pointless stuff. Yes Apple messed up with the launch but there still working hard to fulfill everyone order. I'm a bit upset with Apple but I got over it! they should to. You totally nailed it. The forum was a way to channel all the excitement of getting the watch. It wasn't that we necessary the watch. Let me also say - holy crap it's worth the wait. My goodness this thing is awesome. I really don't understand people that don't like it once they have recieved it. It's like what did you expect it to do. I love working out with it. And
I only think the apps are going to get better as time goes on. Hang in there people.
While I agree that this is the predominant attitude of most of us waiting for our Watches, there have definitely been those who have expressed anger and frustration and had child-like temper tantrums over the wait as well. Every community is going to be a mixed bag.
I don't mind calling out individuals when they get vitriolic, but addressing the entire thread as if we all share anger over not getting our Watches right away is also a lame attempt to elevate oneself above the rest.
