I order my watch the same time I ordered my wife's and she got hers. On launch day but here I wait while she plays with her watch. Has anyone heard if Apple has increased the production of the 42 mm SG?
Ok, far from scientific, but was fun to pass the time...
I went through the spread sheet and added up the number of orders based on minutes after midnight starting with 12:10am PST:
21 people at 12:10am
20 people at 12:11am
12 people at 12:12am
16 people at 12:13am
11 people at 12:14am
4 people at 12:15am
8 people at 12:16am
7 people at 12:17am
4 people at 12:18am
1 person at 12:19am
1 person at 12:20am
Seems to be a definite trend in fewer orders as the time went on. Could also be that the Apple order system started to trend off later times and push them to the next shipping envelope. Who knows, but fun to look at. Might be some good news for those with later times. Will be interesting to see if things start to pick up after the 12:13 time group...
Does anyone who was charged/shipped over the weekend have a UPS update different than "A UPS shipping label has been created. Once the shipment arrives at our facility, the tracking status--including the scheduled delivery date--will be updated."?
thanks
I expect there is an eventual trend down, but also keep in mind that those who would bother to view and post in these forums are intent on getting the watch early, so they wouldn't have waited until 12:15 or later to place their order.
I ordered at 12:12 but that's only because my alarm didn't wake me up right away.![]()

My confirmation email is at xx:15 but only because I couldn't get through to the servers... No cc charge yet![]()

I had the same problem. In hindsight I wish I had simply committed to the purchase, put in my "saved" items and used the Apple Store app.

Just discovered this thread as I have not so patiently waited for my Apple Watch Sport - at least according to my better half I am not so patient. I think I have been remarkably contained given that every other launch day I have had my latest toy/device in hand.....
Can't edit the spreadsheet so here is my order....
42mm Space grey
Order April 10th
Pretty sure I ordered by no later than 13 minutes after, but email confirmation shows different by the time it processed through. I am a little miffed that it took 10 minutes after launch to even get the Apple Store live in my browser despite my refreshing....
xx:18:22
Estimate 13-27th
No charges and still processing
As I read through the thread (not all 250+ pages), I looked at the spreadsheet and surmised that ~90 orders have now gone to shipping status and I am about 90 orders down the list based on my time. If we have waited around 18 days to get this far then I should expect the same if the order rate was constant. This would put me at May 28 - or the back end of the order range. This seems to be consistent with orders about 2 minutes later going to a later window range than the May 13-27 we are all patiently enjoying.
However, thanks to another analysis there is information that shows that the eager apple early adopters fell off in order rate after the first 10 minutesSo theoretically the next 18 predicted days should actually be shorter. Plus if one assumes that Apple is pushing harder on manufacturing it should improve again.
My gut (since I am in manufacturing and supply chain) is that there is not likely an appreciable improvement in manufacturing given that the quality issue with haptic engine supply. Likely only a small improvement at the successful supplier and not a step improvement until another supplier comes on board - either through corrective actions at the original failed supplier or a shift to another supplier. More likely the first if times are to improve faster than if the latter was the case.
One could potentially argue if our spreadsheet data is reflective of the larger ordering population and is a predictor of future orders? Arguably we have a large enough sample size and if someone were inclined we could use order data and a statistical analysis to take a crack at a likely ship date for the xx:18 minute group.
In the meantime, my bedside charging stand that was set for May 27th delivery that arrived today was not a predictor that my watch would come soonerInstead I will have to imagine a watch or place my Citizen Eco-drive on it for the meantime.
This thread has at least provided some peace that I am not suffering alone and I am not unique by any stretch in my crave for all things Tech and all things Apple. Perhaps the rest of this week will give us an indication that things are accelerating and I will see my watch well in advance of the 27th.
Happy waiting to all.....![]()

<3Wow no action today still waiting for another wave. Discouraging!
Xx:11:17 here with no charges yet.

I do not think our sample set is a great indicator. It only reflects the certain person who is a member of MacRumors... which I think takes a special kind of fan boy.<3

Look at the spreadsheet, the wave did not happen until later yesterday.
