I purchased a preorder off eBay, scheduled delivery from May 13 - May 27. It hasn't budged from "Processing Items" and May 13th is today. To my knowledge, many others have seen this changed to "preparing for shipment". Does anyone else have this situation?

May 13 - May 27 is/was most everyone in the 4-6 week group and everyone in this thread. Many orders in this group have shipped, many have not. We are still early in week 5 of 6, so Apple is still well within their delivery estimate window.

Thanks to all....This thread really helped pass the time. I received my watch this afternoon. I love it!!!! I hope every one else has a short wait!

Got a question for you guys . . . the header in my gmail says the message was received at Fri, 10 Apr 2015 00:13:23 -0700 (PDT) with the SMTP ID and all that jazz at the very top of the email.

Further down it shows this just above the actual message:

Date: Fri, 10 Apr 2015 07:13:21 +0000 (GMT)
From: Apple Store <your_order_US@orders.apple.com>

So my first thought was, "Oh wow it took two seconds from Apple's order dispatch to filter through all the internet tubes and get to me, I guess..."

I am now currently talking with Apple Chat about my order to see what their records show for my order processing time and they said, "Sure. What I show is an order on April 10th at 1:17pm."

Even if this specialist read the time in GMT instead of my local time PST -7, that would still put it HOURS after I actually placed the order and received confirmation... Any thoughts? I'll update as the chat continues!

----------

Turns out she misread the timecode! It actually showed 00:13:17 so hopefully I'll be processed within the next 24 hours and hopefully will get my watch before the end of the week!!

I spoke to Apple chat to find my exact order time and they told me that they do not record the seconds.

"04/10/2015 00:18:13 Is exactly how your order appears within our systems underneath order creation time."

They said that the 18 was hours and that the 13 was minutes. I got excited for a moment, thinking I was a full five minutes earlier than my email header (xx:18). Then I realized, that it made no sense, that 18 could not be hours..., They were wrong and that 18 was minutes and 13 was seconds.

So... lesson here, some chat reps don't know how to read the time stamps.

Right there with you, brother or sister? My seller said the confirmation time was xx:13 but didn't give seconds. Hopefully tomorrow it will ship. It's been a nightmare not being able to check the status and being out of the loop.

That would be seconds, not milliseconds. HH:MM:SS

A millisecond is one thousandth of a second.

So... Lesson here is, know your hours, minutes and seconds before trying to show a lesson being learned.

BTW thanks for supporting the scalpers on EBay so they'll be sure to clog up the lines next time as well.

...

I hope it ships in July for you.

Wow bütt hurt much? If I didn't buy it someone else would. It's not like I wanted to support a scalper, it absolutely sickens me that people take away product from those of us that actually want it but there wasn't a snowballs chance I was waiting till June 20 minutes after preorders started.

Progress!!!!!

I got charged yesterday night @ 10:11pm CST and the status changed to Preparing For Shipment.

Later I'll probably look for another thread that is more appropriate, but since I've been involved with this one for a long time and others still waiting on their watches may find some of my experience useful, here it is (trying not to repeat stuff I've seen in every other review!):

Main thing I was testing was the heart rate monitor. First I checked it a few times in normal use and compared it to what I got with an iphone app I use which seems very accurate. It was always within 1 beat/minute so that was great.

Then I did the big test on my bicycle ride Tuesday night. Also a battery check. I had it charged up to 96% before getting ready for the ride. It was at 62% 3.5 hours later. But 1 hr and 53 minutes was when I was using the activity app which checks the heart rate 10 times more often (I think) so that chews up the battery. So 1 hr and 37 minutes was normal usage.

This seemed fine to me since my schedule would always let me plug in the watch for awhile before any bicycle riding.

Other more informal battery checking seemed to have it dropping about 4% an hour, but I wasn't doing anything special other than checking the time and sometimes fiddling with things to see how it all worked.

I didn't have anything to compare the heart rate with during the exercise period, but it seemed to have reasonable numbers and they didn't jump around in unexpected ways. If I climbed a hill or just increased my effort, it went up, etc. My rest rate is usually in the 50's (occasionally 40's). On my ride, cruising steadily I would usually be around 125. That was pretty consistent. Max effort up a big hill hit 162.

Only once did the numbers surprise me. I had been fairly aggressive for about 30 seconds up a steep hill and then backed off. When I checked the HR, after about 20 more seconds, it said 76. Can't be right, especially since I was still going up hill, just not pushing as hard. But shortly afterwards it got back to 130+. Don't know if that one lapse was because of sensor issues or with the bluetooth connection or what. Still, overall it was great.

One other thing. The lift to activate thing is going to have some quirks - probably unavoidable. For example, when riding the bike, just twisting my wrist while keeping a grip on the handlebars would not activate the screen. I had to lift it too. But other times I might do something that would turn the screen on when I didn't plan it. I don't think there is any way to make something like this work perfectly for every person anyway so no biggie.

Okay, that's my report and probably last post in this thread. Good luck to those still waiting! It is worth it.

UPS express saver says I should get my watch by 12pm even though normally UPS comes to my area around 5pm. How ready should I be for for a before 12pm delivery?

In Canada its express saver not next day air, because of that we are getting watches today while U.S. got it yesterday.

Still wondering if I'll get it before 12pm
