Friday I am in the same boat as you. However, I called Apple today and was told that anyone that says they haver received theirs and has a time after me is just spreading rumors and more than likely a troll. I told them wow hundreds of people that don't even know each other personally got together and decided to troll everyone else???

I think support was trolling you! ;)

This is the first apple product that I have tried to purchase at launch and it has pretty much guaranteed I won't do it again.

I'm still seeing a lot of :05's out there... Not much hope for an :06 by Sat. And I wish everyone would stop hassling the Apple cust. service people. They aren't going to expedite your watch, or give you the super secret code to the process.

Let it go, let it gooooooo!

Rogue I am a late five and I have not seen anything. I am pretty much given up on this weekend.

Right there with you. It's a real shame.

And honestly it's ridiculous since people in the 06 have been getting shipped to.

I'm always weary of any poster claiming to be :06+ w/ shipping info and they are a brand new member here and very low posts. It's like going to see a hooker without reading her reviews. Smells fishy.

I just pulled the headers on the confirmation email I got from apple that night. It was sent to me on 00:05:41 PST.

I contacted Apple through the chat feature on the order page and was told our orders were placed in different queues based on certain criteria and that people with later order times may ship earlier due to various reasons such as cancelations or failure to be able to charge for the watch.

This statement is contrary to the Apple Executive Teams response which was orders will be delivered in the order they were received. So my uneducated opinion is there apparently is no rhyme nor reason why some people are seeing orders with later times shipping before earlier times.

I personally am in the May 13 - May 27 delivery range, I have accepted the fact the watch will not be here til the end of the time frame if it makes it within the time frame at all due to the news story on issues with one of the suppliers for the taptic engine.

Don't let this experience discourage you. I have pre-ordered almost every iPhone I owned. And I always got them on launch date. This watch is just a special case. Too many different variations of the watch.
My guess is that they weren't sure how well and which model would sell good. So they didn't make enough of all of them. It will get better.

I ordered at 2:16am (Central) and STILL HAVEN'T EVEN BEEN CHARGED OR RECEIVED MY WATCH!!! Just kidding...I feel like some of you need a new watch just to realize that it's April 29th and not May 27th yet. All the "he ordered 1 sec after me and got his 1st" is irrelevant. It's still April, be patient and it will arrive.

There is no good way to tell, but let me point out a couple things.

Don't know if there would be "hundreds" of trolls - but then again, considering the interest in the watch, would that be impossible? There are certainly plenty of people who are trolls.

Second, more important, they don't have to know each other or "get together". Trolls simply troll and, for now, the way they think would be most fun would be to make bogus claims about their confirmation and received times. The dumb ones would put down extreme confirmation times - like 20 minutes yet claim they got their phones. The more clever ones - but still not having a real life - will skew things much less so it looks at least possible.

There will be variation though, at least if my theory is correct, that while they basically fill things in order of confirmation (and availability of the specific model), they are almost certainly going to sen shipments in large lots to specific distribution centers. Those SHOULD be in order, but they may be a little ahead of another distribution center - until that one receives a big supply and may jump ahead too.

Not sure why you think it will come at the end of the time frame... Given that April isn't completely over, still have awhile to go. I'm stuck on the June shipment yet I'm optimistic that Apple will deliver it sooner.

My watch will be here tomorrow! Posted earlier than I got charged around 3:00am mst today. The charges were pending till about 4:15pm. Got an email confirmation of shipping at 4:45. Tracking info became visible at 7:30. My friends order did the same thingy the exact same time. Coming from Ontario, CA. Definitely seems like regions are going in batches. My other friends mom get her pink band today.

I don't think this is really contradictory. It is simply a more detailed description. That is, basically they can ship watches according to confirmation time, but, for example, they'll probably ship them in lots to distribution centers and that lot will probably have some that are dated later than people still waiting in another distribution area.

I've seen some posts from people who would seem to live in the same area who don't get watches in the proper order, but then, we really don't know if they are trolling or if they are mistaken about the exact time, etc.

Would like to have mine and certainly don't want to be one of those whose time seems to be skipped over like that. But really, even if I am, it probably wouldn't changed things more than a day or two - I'll live. But I admit it, I WANT MY NEW TOY!

I've been watching these posts and just read the article about the taptic engine issue. I feel like I have a good handle on how this is going to go:

  • The initial stockpiled batch has been shipped out and therefore the "burst" of shipments is over and done
  • Shipments are now going out based on current production rates (ie. much slower but steadier)
  • Based on confirmation email times, Apple's current production rate is equivalent to about 1 minute worth of orders a day
  • The taptic engine production rate may be the controlling factor. We know they switched suppliers and the new one is working on a ramp up. The peeling black sport bands may also be an issue.
  • Assuming they solve those, perhaps in a week or two, Apple will be shipping these out at a rate of about 2 minutes worth of orders per day, and so on

My SG sport confirmation is xx:12. If all goes well, this means I could see my card charged between the middle and the end of next week, which is much sooner than the 5/13-27 window I was given. Sure I want it sooner, and for a moment there I thought it could happen. But I am more realistic now.
