Congrats! Love the monogram! Enjoy it!

;)

I only changed the shipping email under "Shipment Notifications". Would that re-authorize the purchase? I'm on chat right now to see if they can tell me what time the order processed.

Not sure if shipment notifications change would do it but it seems coincidental that a charge happened shortly after the change is all. I didn't mean to rain on your parade though just hoping to cast a realistic shadow over the situation :).

forgot to say the xx:08:01 is when I placed my order. Got the email at xx:08:24

Yeah, see, that is evidence to my theory. The support rep told me my order was placed at xx:05:11 and my email came in at xx:05:15 -- a four second email delay compared to a 23 second difference for you! Email servers chugging through at different speeds imo. And that is assuming the "order" times are even the actual database times.

It is hard to handle this many orders without letting most of the process be asynchronous. Ultimately it is the "database write" that needs to be synchronous. Everything else can be distributed and seem all out of order to best handle load. And the chances we're actually getting exact db write times from support reps seems low.

Agreed. I wish there was a queue number or something. I would rather the transparency of knowing I was 1,000,000th in line than the speculation that exists now. Remember when that Mailbox app was downloadable and it told you how many folks were in front of you in line? That's what I want. I want to log in and rather than see "Processing" see "234,821 people are in front of you. Take a deep breath it's going to be a while"

I just deleted the emails and cleared my browser because I was checking like every 15mins.

Yeah! That would be rad!

Unfortunately a lot harder for a publicly traded company to reveal that since it gives sales pace and volume info out to the masses, affecting trading and speculation. Of course, most of that can be surveyed and sampled and estimated anyway, but I suspect that is probably why they don't do queue numbers.

EDIT: fun to have forums like this on which to explore my crazy theories :)

Completely fair. Hope about a queue group? Group A, B, C, etc. no numbers as no one knows how many groups. All I am asking for is transparency as to where I stack up.

::sigh:: I just want something new and shiny.

I appreciate it. I was a bit excited for no reason.

Does anyone know if there is a way to figure out what time the order was processed aside from the order confirmation email? Apple customer support did not seem to know.

Confirmation email at xx:05:xx
Still a lot of nothing despite me checking my order status 3 times per day.
Location: AR

Time ordered is not the only criteria. Region is important. They want to send batches to an area, like the Dallas, Fort Worth area, then out for delivery. Some of those people will be earlier, some a bit later.

So someone in Dallas ordered before someone in the L.A. area, but they took care of L.A. first for a reason (let's say).

I'm in Dallas, I ordered at XX:04:50. I see lots of people that ordered after me get theirs first, in other regions, but no one from Dallas area that ordered after me has gotten theirs.

So for some reason, Dallas is behind some other areas. But soon they'll hit Dallas with a bunch (wether they post here or not).

Anyone else having shopping tracking problems. My last scan was at 7:00 pm in Harrisburg and nothing else. I live up the road so it will not be on another plane. Maybe the system is down or something

What does the xx:05 mean?

Because of lots of different timezones we replace the hour with xx because a lot of people ordered on the 10th April within the first hour of availability. So I ordered at 08:16:57 GMT but I say XX:16:57 because then everyone realises that it was within the first 17 minutes of availability.

I wish I shared your optimism however they are definitely not moving at a rate of 1 minute per day. Let's assume for a moment that the initial batch produced enough product to fulfill the orders placed in the first two minutes (I say this as I have not seen anyone in this thread that orders in xx:01 or xx:02 in quite some time). If that was the case the slow and stead would push us at (your rate of one minute per day) to 07 today, however we are still circling the area of 03 and 04 with sporadic occurrence of 05 (for the purpose of this analysis I am dismissing any 06 as either outliers or trolls). I would imagine they are moving quite a bit slower than 1min/day which would put my order (late 05) sometime in the beginning to middle of next week if I am lucky.

Not trying to burst your bubble but hoping to truly paint a realistic picture for you. Either way it will deliver eventually.

I'm prepared for reality either way. I'm anxious, but in the scheme of things a few weeks isn't going to matter when I look back at it 6 months from now.

I based my "one minute per day" comment on a mental averaging of the time ranges people with "Preparing for Shipment" notices have posted on these forums. Today I see many new shipping posts in the :04 to :05 minute ranges, with a few that are higher. We just wrapped up the fourth business day since release date. So I don't feel that far off. But like you say, lots of variables involved. It's just a rough guess.

So it's only for the date of April 10th?

Yes pretty much.

So far Apple seem to be shipping up to around the XX:10 mark. It's taken this long to catch up to those so you can see why everyone is concerned about their confirmation time. It's like 1.5 day delay per minute so far.

If you ordered after the 10th then its safer to assume that yours will be shipped after those that ordered within the first hour on the 10th April. That being said it only seems to be those with the Black Sports Band that are really struggling now as lots of other bands are shipping even though they ordered after the 10th.

Great info. And since I ordered just two days ago, I'll prolly get mine next year. Not to mention it's a SG. Lol.

What did you get?

At least you are in the first 10 minutes. I was thinking about ordering at that date but waited out for a change. I wanted the SS SB. But I guess it will only come with the SS SB Link bracelet. Frustrated. So I just got the SG. I should've gone to Maxfield instead. Are you in California?

Wooops no sorry I am 16 minutes past the hour.

XX:16:57

I said 08 because Im in the UK (London) and ordered at 08:16:57

So yeh...not in the first 10 minutes! haha

Just wondering about something. They started the deliveries on a Friday and unless I missed something, nothing more was delivered until Monday.

So my question is, why begin on a Friday and then have two days with nothing? I figure there must be a reason, but on the surface it seems like there may have been a little less frustration if we had 3-5 days straight of deliveries before the weekend.

I know that, overall, it wouldn't get most people their watches any sooner, but I think that more people would have felt better seeing multiple consecutive days of deliveries.

Got charged 30 minutes ago and already preparing to ship. XX:05:33 email confirmation in Dallas area.

I feel for you guys that were ahead of my time. Hopefully you guys get your watches soon. This launch hasn't been cool.
