I think it would be intresting to see how many macrumors have PC and how many running nothing but macs.

Question:

Do you own a PC?

Hate to admit it, but yes, I own a PC*

*I NEVER use it except for playing the Sims 2 occasionally. My Mum/Mom/Mother/Mama/Mummy uses it and so does my brother/sibling.
But my Dad/Pop/Father/Papa/Daddy and I always use our Macs:cool:

Yes, I own one...a ****** old PC with 1,3 Ghz and 128 Mb Sd Ram...it rapes my mind, can't wait to get my new MacBook Pro ;)

I do but it's solely used for external storage and Counter strike at the moment. I'm looking to sell it as it's practically gathering dust.

I guess you mean non Mac OS computer.

Never have done, hopefully never will.

Unfortunately I have to use one in work. But I hope to change that soon...

Yes, I do :( In fact, I don't own a Mac at all :( That is why I am saving up all of my money to buy a Macbook. I can't stand my PC.

I'm shocked! Either people are being snarky and consider their macs to be PCs, or there are an amazing number of PC users out there. Are people responding yes if they run windows via bootcamp/parallels/etc?

I dont think bootcamp counts since you are still running it on a mac.

Unfortunately, the world is still a windows environment. I use the PC just to check how web sites look with IE, trouble shoot databases since most clients use pcs, and some older PC only programs.

I have a PC at home which I use as a server of sorts. It's capable enough for Photoshop and some things like that, but I hardly ever use it.

I'd like to replace it with a modest Mac at home, but the fact that I can do RDC (for free) is reason enough for me not to get rid of my PC yet.

Yeah, I own one, but it's such a piece of crap (It has a Pentium II 200 MHz processor, a 4 GB HD, and 64 Mb of RAM, plus Windows 98!) It hardly ever gets used.

Wow, I'd get rid of that machine immediately if it did that to me! Just joking with you, Pornstar--I have an old PC in my office that runs Windows 2000 that takes about 5 minutes to boot up and everytime I do this, I feel the same as you!

yea i have one that i use for PC games...its just about as powerful as my Macbook.
I don't like to use it though:cool:

I'm one of those rare people that can say that "I've been a Mac user my whole life". Until I got iWork for my MacBook (and when I had that PowerBook G3) I had to use my step mom's PC for school work. I still have to use PC's at school which, BTW really suck.

Sure do, I plan on keeping at least 1 PC with me for awhile. I have a Compaq Presario running Vista Basic, a Dell Dimension running XP Pro, and another Dell Dimension running XP Home. All 3 have never given me any trouble; no viruses, some spyware here and there but other than that, nothing. I just prefer using OS X, as it's much more intuitive and easier to use. But all the people saying "PC's suck, you can't do s*it on them" really need to get a life. They're not that bad, they aren't as fun to use. That's the simple truth.

I have an HP laptop. Served me great for 3 years, then i found this imac :D

Theres really nothing wrong with it, or windows. Just needs a new power jack (somehow dislodged from the mobo, HP wanted 800$ to fix it, lulz :D ). Ive been meaning to fix it, then sell it.
