I have a 5 titanium, with a cracked bottom crystal (everything still works) looking forward to the 7, if it’s not too boxy. Not sure I would be upgrading without a cracked under crystal.

If the larger screen means significant battery life increase, that is fine by me. If not, I don't really see the point.
Exactly. Not sure Apple realizes how much they would dominate the market if they upped the case size a bit in order to advertise a 3 day battery life. That would convert a lot of people using Garmin and Fitbit I think and keep me from debating going to Garmin. Right now I'm on the fence about the watch until I see the presentation. If I'm seeing same 18 hour battery life estimate I think I'll hold off.

Basically tripling the battery life would not make the Watch „a bit“ larger, but massively so. I‘m quite sure Apple would lose more potential buyers than win with this move. And they already dominate the market.

Or they create a newer segment that it is blatantly obvious they are going towards, the runner and cross fitter. Most runners that run beyond a 5k hate the Apple Watch, and cross fitters hate the lack of actionable data and timers. Granted there are some apps that can help remedy this problem, but some don't want to deal with that hassle.

I don‘t think this market is big enough for Apple to bother. But who knows, there have been rumours of a „rugged“ version before; maybe that one will have a bigger battery as well.

I agree about Apple winning more Garmin converts with a bigger watch with a bigger battery. If I could get a solid 48 hrs, I would be happy. Anything more would be icing on the cake.

Lots don’t use the sleep function due to such poor battery life…2or 3 days would help utilize what it could really do

I expect that's the case.

"Here's a super rugged outdoor watch, just make sure you carry a charger if you're away from home for more than 18 hours" isn't good positioning. I obviously don't know, but I'm willing to bet it will have a 3 day life minimum.

don't judge me.... I wear a Diesel 55mm watch on a daily basis, like the one below.... can't stand small watches.(anything under 50mm) My wrist is just under 8.5 inches. When I got the 55mm watch, the strap was too short and I had to order a 9-inch strap.

on second thought... judge away, what do I care? I love this watch!!!

(if I could get away with it, I would wear my iPhone SE(1st gen) on my wrist as a giant watch!) :)

I really hope the images I’ve seen online of the series 7 with the tiny bezels are accurate. I think it looks absolutely incredible. I always go for the largest size and I think the 45 mm version will be fantastic.
