Crunchgear has posted the first banners at WWDC which promote both "OS X Leopard" and "OS X iPhone". The "OS X Leopard" banner reads "The world's most advanced operating system," while the "OS X iPhone" banner reads "The world's most advanced mobile platform."

leads me to believe that leopard will be around for longer than some of these rumors were indicating. I wonder what they will change about it, with the updates and all.

Interesting to see "OS X iPhone" as it appears they are now quite serious about the iPhone as a true development platform (not that they weren't before but but but...)

Monday should be full of surprises...

Well rumors indicate that they're upgrading the iPhone case as well - wouldn't that make these posters obsolete, since they display the old iPhone...???

Why does it say "OS X iPhone" and not just "iPhone" or "Apple iPhone"? I know, I know the iPhone has OS X on it, but it still looks strange to me.

Why is this considered news?

It's Apple related, it just happened, it's about WWDC on Monday.

You do realize that's what this website is about, right? Mac Rumors? Mac Community Discussion? Innuendo? Hints? Allegations better left unsaid sometimes? That sorta thing?

There is something like a chat bubble (iChat icon) coming out of the iphone on the wall

What's that black look-a-like screen on the middle picture at the back?

The what? The banner along the right side of the hallway is loaded up with a background gradient image, iPhone icons, a Macbook Air and an iPhone sitting in front of it. Any of that what you're talking about?

Because WWDC is a developer's conference and people develop for a particular operating platform: aka OS X. There's OS X for the Mac and now OS X for mobile (iPhone).

Sorry if you get slammed by a billion other posts about this. I'm excited too, but it's a DEVELOPER'S CONFERENCE. I'm not expecting much hardware information outside of a new iPhone.

No at the right on the wall.
You have upper-right with black - pink/purple gradient and icons, in the middle some iPhone and some black (for me it looks as a screen) and you have bottom-right with blue - black gradient and icons.

Edit: ow I see, the black is the wallpaper of the macbook air , dumb dumb dumb :(

Whats the?

What is the macbook air looking thing behind the iphone in the poster on the wall? If it is to scale with the iphone, then it is about 7-8" or so.

:apple:

I'm probably wrong, but the colours of the screens either side of the (rather stretched it seems) iPhone are different, sort of silver on the left, and white on the right..

Don't forget that major products have been released at WWDC in the past.

2003: Power Mac G5
2004: New Displays
2006: Mac Pro

Yeah, how dare they post it on macnews.com ... oh wait, this is macRUMORS.com. I guess technically this isn't a rumor either, as they don't conjecture anything based on the banners. That's where we come in!

I think "OS X iPhone" means that everyone who buys/bought Leopard gets a free iPhone. And a Leopard.
