Why is this considered news?
Because it is news. Banners being put up is news, and helps build excitement. I can't wait till monday. It's going to be amazing (I hope). Here's to iPhone V2!!!
Why is this considered news?
^^agree
It almost feels like they are only gonna relese v2 software (its unlikly, i know...)
Good Question. The only Official orange icon on the iPhone is the iPod icon, and that definitely isn't the iPod icon. There is something like a chat bubble (iChat icon) coming out of the iphone on the wall
No at the right on the wall.
You have upper-right with black - pink/purple gradient and icons, in the middle some iPhone and some black (for me it looks as a screen) and you have bottom-right with blue - black gradient and icons.
Edit: ow I see, the black is the wallpaper of the macbook air , dumb dumb dumb![]()
Because now it's a development platform. It wasn't last year. This is a developers convention. Not a consumer one.Why does it say "OS X iPhone" and not just "iPhone" or "Apple iPhone"? I know, I know the iPhone has OS X on it, but it still looks strange to me.
What is this mystery icon on the side wall banner? I've never seen it.

I was thinking the same thing..

Yeah, how dare they post it on macnews.com ... oh wait, this is macRUMORS.com. I guess technically this isn't a rumor either, as they don't conjecture anything based on the banners. That's where we come in!
I think "OS X iPhone" means that everyone who buys/bought Leopard gets a free iPhone. And a Leopard.
What is the macbook air looking thing behind the iphone in the poster on the wall? If it is to scale with the iphone, then it is about 7-8" or so.

ah, thanks. I don't own an iPhone (yet, heh heh), so I'm not totally familiar with its guts. That's the accelerometer icon.

Does anyone know if they are going to even announce anything big on monday because that is just when it starts they don't have to announce anything the first day?
My reaction?
Why is it no longer called "MacOS X"? It's only "OS X" now? Does this... mean something? (I thought it was "MacOS X" / "TouchOS X")
